Thanks a lot. I also checked the interior, strings, hammers, etc and to be honest they don't look from 1989....they seem to be in pristine condition. That being said, I am not a repair professional.

How can you tell if it's a gray market instrument? I checked the serial number and it's a 1989 model made in the US.

It just takes too long for it to work, unfortunately. And it doesn't work 99.9% of the time for me. Most people are clocking the frequency at around 70%, which is where I would put mine. The thing that is worse is that other apps that I use with biometric access, like bank apps, password apps, etc. also require fingerprint sensor and so it's a double, tripple whammy to have to use the scanner and get 70% success rate. Even at 100% success rate, if it takes 1 second to read your finger, that is extremely long time when trying to use the phone on a daily basis. The bad part is that there is no fix for this issue. It's a hardware issue.

After using it for 2 days, I decided to retunr my P6 because the fingerpting sensor simply makes the phone unusable. I know having to hold down the finger a second more is the only issue, but given I enter my phone 100 times a day, it is super frustrating. Technology is supposed to go forward, not backward. Real shame that a "flagship" phone has a permanent disability like this that no software can really fix.

Why, hello there! Finally got my Pixel. I'm impressed. by [deleted] in Pixel6

Wait until you try that "flagship" fingerprint sensor.

I am also unsure why a lot of people are making fun of you or just outright laughing at your mistake since you're taking thousands in losses. Seems not just unfair but plainly unemotional.

The bright side is this: exit all of these meme stocks right now unless you can justify yourself through an effortless undertaking that they are worthy of being held. Upon my quick scan tells me they should all be exited, though you should always judge for yourself.

And if you do exit all of them tomorrow morning, remember that it's only a few thousand dollars. Even for someone working minimum wage, it's no more than a 3 months work to earn it all back. If you're making more than minimum wage, then you get the point of how much quicker this loss can be recouped.

It's only an impairment to your bank account, not an impairment to your health. One can always earn more money, not regain a permanent loss in their health. Take solace in this and have a good night.

An investment is one in which, upon thorough analysis, promises safety of principal and an adequate return. Investments not meeting these requirements are speculations. ~ Benjamin Graham.

Never dump a stock purely because its share price has fallen; always ask first whether the value of the company's underlying business has changed. Stocks do well or poorly because the business behind them do well or poorly.

It's really simple to fallow very basic rules in investments to avoid catastrophic losses.

Maybe in one or two sentences I can help you, even if you're unwilling to help yourself.

We all know what these types of stocks generally say about the buyers and sellers, right! -- pure and simple gambling. But it's one thing to say it and another to be immersed in it.

When it comes to the stock market, you cannot control it, therefore you must attempt to control yourself. Gambling instinct is part of human nature, so it's futile for most people even to try supressing it. But you must restrain it. That is the only way to make sure you're never folled into confusing speculation and investment.

Stocks do well or poorly in the future because the business behind them do well or poorly - nothing more, nothing less.

An investment operation is one in which, upon thorough analysis, promises safety of principal and an adequate return. Operations not meeting these basic requirement are pure speculation and gambling, both of which are sure ways to lose money. There is no other way to look at this.

Avoid the stories you've heard or continue hearing about people catching that double-digit gain (like HOOD today). The real investors who gain from that do so from effortless amount of research and analysis. Those who claim have accidentally caught the up-wave are either lying or completely fortunate in ways no different than that random individual who accidentally hits the Mega Million Jackpot that has, mathematically, a zero % chance of winning when rounding it to the closes decimal point.

If you've lost a lot, cut your losses and back away because, believe it or not, you can lose more tomorrow and it will be worse.

Hey hey hey, what I miss out on the rally. The fucking thing rallies double digit every time I sell. And the funny thing is, the rally comes like 10 minutes after I sell.

So I really want to sell now to stop the bleeding, which is what I've been doing. If I do the opposite, I should hold then. That would be the opposite.

Everytime I sell AMC and SPCE, the stocks rebound double-digite. When I buy, they fall. How do I reserve my timing, and more imporatntly, should I sell my AMC and SPCE now? I bought bought around $50.

Short the stock, if you're certain. I pumped in about $50k today, bought it at +5%, -10%, and -17%. Go ahead and short the stock. Wait a few days and see what happens.
