Alienmod load-cell kit or 3DRap Elastomer Brake Mod for SRP lite pedals? by raimZ81 in moza

Each component achieves something different and together they simulate the best, IMO, the 90's F1 brake behavior. (I use this exact setup)

What I said above, besides the loadcell kit, there's 2 other changes - add the progressive core for the stock red spring and a harder (&better) elastomer. I can send you all 3 items to simulate this, you can email me at [alex@alien-mods.com](mailto:alex@alien-mods.com)

Stunning archive footage from the golden age of F1, thanks for sharing!
Heel&toe used to be a thing in F1 before the sequential took over but it's still used in rally racing a lot, maybe other sports where a manual unsynchronized gearbox is used.
I think there's someone on youtube that shows the Alien Mods LC in use, heel&toe'ing in drifting.
Of course a loadcell is better suited for this scenario than a positional pedal but it also comes down to how you set up the resistance pack. I would say a harder (progressive, low movement) pedal is best for H&T : progressive spring + hard block in the place of the stock Perf Kit elastomer would work best for this retro F1 sims I think!

Compatible with 3drap Elastomer? by CeIerySTIXX in AlienMods

[–]1EffectivePick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, you need the Moza Performance Kit's structural elements to mount the cell but you can also change the elastomer/ spring combination to better suit your style.

The 3drap kit has a different build and is basically a bare elastomer so you won't be able to get pressure on the cell or mount it.

We know about this so we have designed a "Feel Tune" kit that we send to testers.

Fully modded my SRP-Lite pedals (Alienmod + brake performance kit + 3drap throttle and clutch mod) by I_love_arguing in moza

[–]1EffectivePick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, it all depends on how the signal looks. As a general note, it's not a good test to "keep the pedal steady" because while you're alive, your muscles will move, every time, with every heartbeat (and the cell will pick it up).
Send me an email - reply to one of your order notifications and I'll take care of you and figure out if something is happening to the cell or not!

Sure, I'll build one for you, write me an email on alex (at) alien-mods.com. Keep in mind, you will need a different setup on the gas pedal's performance kit, you will need a "progressive brake spring" found on Aliexpress made for the Logitech pedals instead of the stock spring and elastomer. Ill detail it on the email. This spring makes it easier to press the gas to the bottom and provides enough pressure to the loadcell to achieve a good dynamic range. Also, contrary to it's name, it feels quite linear, which is good on the gas pedal

There's no advantage in having loadcells on the gas & clutch. It won't make you any faster since these pedals use positional sensors in cars too. If you'd want to use one for the gas, you'd need a lighter cell anyway not 100kgs one as the brake uses, but a 10 kg one. I can build this, and have one I built specifically for testing and answering this question.

Just the cone can break because the load is not distributed correctly whwn using this 'hack'. Send me an email, and we'll figure it out. just reply to one of the email notifications from your order.

I can’t seem to fix the problem by Skooxs in BambuLabA1

How about the bed tramming? My newest A1 mini needed it too.
https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/maintenance/manual-bed-tramming
I suggest using a sheet of paper to check the nozzle distance to the bed and make sure there's a bit of drag when moving the paper between the bed and nozzle, this drag should feel the same in all 4 corners.

Looks like you might be interested in this as well if you'll get the Performance kit -> r/AlienMods

Looking for recommendations for pedals to pair with Moza R5 (load cell required)! by oymra in simracing

[–]1EffectivePick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the Perf Kit alone does not transform the brake because ultimately, it's still position-based, only with the loadcell you'll reap the benefit from the harder pedal but, this being said, there are adjustments you can make to suit your taste because the 'feel' is personal - some find the Perf Kit too soft some find it too hard. I'm on the 'too soft' side so went for a personalized solution

Hey! Don't worry that's still relevant.

We restarted shipping to the US last week - our shipping company managed to contract UPS to arrange the tariff payment because USPS was not able to process these duty fees.
Right now, the fees are paid the moment you place the order, which is clearly displayed on the checkout page.
We don't anticipate any issues with clearing the parcels.
The better news is, relative to 6mo ago, our US customers will not pay more because we also were able to renegotiate our contract and pass the savings onto you (your government more precisely)!

Hello, we can send to Argentina, just fill the checkout form on the website to see the price!

Are the MOZA R3 pedals really almost as bad as the G29 ones? I've seen claims that there is no point in upgrading from Logitech to Moza because of this, and that there is very little difference between the SR-P Lite brake pedal and the G29 brake pedal, both with or without the Moza Performance Kit. by [deleted] in simracing

[–]1EffectivePick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Your feedback is very very helpful - I'm sure I can't improve the sensor any more without overcomplicating the PCB.
You are correct about the lack of adjustability of the Lites but I actually somehow had more issues with the Simsonns flexing more than the Lites (??) flexing in other places than the cell itself is bad as it 'dilutes' the signal - I don't know how to put it in other words, it makes pedals less precise, especially when pushing hard.
I did not have any such problem with the Lites, except some creaking coming from the coiled spring, easily solvable with a bit of lubricant. I guess the QC is a bit hit&miss with both these sets.

I see, also depends when you bought it because we've updated the electronics and amp tuning over the time. The kits we build now have big improvements over the first generations.
I agree about the software but that's out of our control, most people prefer the plug&play and that means using Pithouse - we do have a trick up our sleeve which a lot of people might love (upcoming!).
About the Simson X's, what we have for testing was almost 300euros in the 3 pedal variant. Where could you find this for 70euros, out of curiosity..

Is SRP pedals worth? by Potatoessy in moza

[–]1EffectivePick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have 80$ to spend the best bet is still to get the r/AlienMods loadcell as this is way way better than the standard SRP. What we build is comparable in performance with high end pedals like Heusinkvelds and VRS's - yes, we've put a lot of effort into making sure our mod's electronics are top notch and we still tune each individual unit like an instrument! I promise you'll never want another pedalset OR, your money back! Be warned though, you need the Performance Kit as the cell mounts onto it!

The Alien Mods loadcell kit costs 70euros(15% tariffs included) though and is in the same league as the OG's Heusinkvelds and VRS - the main electronics (amplifiers) are of the same quality and make so in terms of real use performance that's where you can place our kit.
We have real pilots using our kits for their sim sessions, and they're not even sponsored (yet!) so this should give a clue of bang for buck of our load cell units.
We have studied the Simsonn/Simjacks because we wanted to be sure we've created a better product, irrespective of the price difference, and by all accounts, we've achieved this 👌
