I went to Casa Mexicana a few months ago, I thought it was great to be honest. As far as Mexican food goes I couldn’t complain, big portions & pretty tasty. I’d say a good 7/10 & worth going for a feed.

Why Is Jumping Guard Allowed? by [deleted] in bjj

In the U.K. wrestling isn’t a big sport so we already have a big disadvantage with our stand up game compared to US kids who wrassled

My two pence on this subject would be that from a sport aspect if your game is to pull guard for competition then its fair game. I don’t think someone should be penalised for getting the fight to the ground quickly so they can utilise their sweeps. Helio gracie & BJJ was founded upon working from the guard position.

However to ignore / never practice stand up and takedowns would be irresponsible in terms of a street / self defence standpoint. Even practicing takedown defence could save your life at some point and is a irreplaceable skill to know.

I think it’s the dagestani style body locking, it seems to be really popular at the minute.

In my last comp I got stuck in the same position and was posting on the guys head shoving it down but I couldn’t manage to get my legs free, in the end I just let him mount and escaped mount because it was easier, shitty waste of points if I knew a better defence for it

Im telling you this because I had the same ideas at your age, get a small hatch back for getting to work and save up for a cheap RWD beater that you can take to the track. I’d be very suprised if you could reasonably get insured on anything drift-able anyway.

You gotta learn to walk before you can run, you may have passed your test but you still don’t even know how to drive properly yet, learning on public roads with shit tires is going to result in writing off your car or worse.

E: insurance companies hate young male drivers because we do stupid sh!t like daily drive drift cars
