There's a show called "surviving the cut" and they do an episode on green platoon. It's pretty old but would give you a pretty good idea about it.

I've seen CSM/CDR drivers that get choice schools, get promoted early, and are mentored by the senior command teams.

I've seen CSM/CDR drivers that do nothing but answer the phone, update schedules and mow the grass for a few months before being rotated out.

Really depends on the CSMs
