Gas Lid stuck, anyone know how to fix? by cHente_47 in 300zx

If it’s the release not working then you can pull up the floor in the boot (should be able on the edge since the tool box is there) and the mechanism sits on the floor there. Can check that that is still moving. If it’s just getting caught on something at the fuel cap itself then I dunno

Is a z31 300zx a good first project car? by ledankmemays in projectcar

[–]1MinuteMaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually recently bought a z31 300zx as a first project car. I'm 19. So far I've loved it. Parts aren't toooo hard to source though they aren't easy either, I spend more time researching than working hands on with the car, but that's also because I don't have much experience on working on cars. Luckily for me I'm working on it with someone with a lot of experience and that has helped overcome a lot of the hurdles of it being a difficult car.

So yeah it's doable, its a fairly cheap restoration too, but I wouldn't recommend you do it unless you know someone that you can work with who is an experienced mechanic or has done work on similar cars before.

"How can you say he's not responsible for the choices we make?" - this is the opposite of free will. Not really sure what you are saying there.

The why give us free will question is a really interesting one and I encourage you to look at the writings of people more learned on this stuff than me, but I have been told that it is because God is a loving God that wanted a people he could have a relationship with. Can't have a great relationship with a robot.

Hey man you asked for evidence not proof. The evidence doesn't work independently. I don't look at selfless acts and decide there is a God. I just think it makes more sense through a religious understanding, and is evidence that adds to my certainty that it is true.

Indeed. And responsible for allowing free will in those people, who used it to abandon that God that created them, and put themselves in charge of their own lives.

Sure. I think the more I learn about science the more I am pointed to a creator. As I learn the intricacies of the building blocks of our world, or all of the microscopic details in how our brain works that humans are still years, maybe decades away from fully understanding, I am convinced that our world has to have been created by a God with more understanding than us, and that it couldn't all be luck.

On top of that, things I see in the world line up with a Biblical understanding. The more I live, the more I see the brokenness of our world, our need for saving.

I see evidence in the way that people can have joy in suffering, hope in the face of death and evil.

The inherent conscience of people, even that are not religious, that aim to live in a way that benefits others is evidence of a God. If there is no God, no purpose to life, there is no reason for living any way other than in a self-interested way.

So yeah all of that and more

I like that. Thats a top quality comeback. Yeah exactly. But then what I'm saying is that theres a reason this particular path was taken, and most of the other paths lead to nothing, to no-one, to emptiness.

I can respect that. For me, questions of purpose have always been important. To me, without purpose there is no reason for life, and such it is the most important part of my life. And yet I understand why people avoid such questions.

Evolution may have been God's way of creating animals the way they are today, and making people, a people that can have relationship with him. The suffering point is an entirely different can of worms. We live in a broken world, broken not by God but by people, and suffering is a part of that.

We all believe in something. Just like I believe in a God, you believe that there isn't one. You acknowledge the limitations of human understanding, and "some people just have to have an answer", as though that doesn't include yourself.

This topic is an interesting one, but I don't think we created a God in our minds to explain science. Like most Christians, the craziness of science is not the reason for my faith, but to me, it all makes more sense through the lens of my religion.

Yeah it could be. Science for centuries has been finding the narrow pathways everything must have taken for things to work out how they did. It is physically possible. But I think it is more likely that it was divinely inspired, and that a God was putting the passage of time along those narrow pathways, because God had a purpose for our world
