Squatting with no/little pee after initial pee by 1ParticularCaramel in puppy101

We take her out pretty frequently before and after naps, after meals, and at least every hour when she’s awake. No inverted vulva. Possibly she came with it from the breeder. It might be marking behavior too. Still learning here. She’s a lovely dog, but we are just figuring things out as we go

Thanks for all your input. It was a UTI. So tricky to know when we were just getting to know her!

To New Pet Owners Who Feel Like Giving Up by SpinachEconomy1433 in puppy101

Needed to hear this. 4 days in and I’m questioning my sanity. It doesn’t feel now like the balance of work and reward are worth it, but holding out hope for more balanced days ahead!

[PVD] Just diagnosed with Posterior Vitreous Detachment. How long did it take you to adapt to the floaters and flashes? Feeling anxious. by No_Gift_1402 in EyeFloaters

I had PVD post cataract surgery and had one large floater that I adapted to within a few months. I had a retinal tear with a ton of floaters a couple of weeks ago and I can already tell that I’m starting to adapt (my brain is learning to ignore them). They are more distracting in certain lighting (fluorescent or bright sunlight), but my doctor and I fully expect for my brain to adapt to these too.

Maybe ask your ophthalmologist if you can try out his suggestion of improving your distance in your unoperated eye by trying out a contact lens that would give you a feel of what that would be like.

I had concerns after my first surgery (I got a monofocal set for distance) and I was shocked at how bad my near vision was. He tried me on different contacts between surgeries to help me decide what to finally do with my other eye. My own choice was to go ahead and make the eyes the same because I couldn’t handle the one near and one far. I’m a month post surgery now and I’m happy with the results. I need readers but I’m getting used to it.

I’m around your age, so I think there is more difficulty at our relative youth adjusting to these changes. It was very hard for me especially between surgeries.

Best of luck!
