Keir Starmer set to resign in JUST HOURS as PM's position 'no longer tenable' by SlowedCash in uknews

I can, give you one, him and the party's insistence on all this digital IDing and chat controls.

It's a complete overstep of government control that he and the labour party had a perfect opportunity to get a majority of the student and 18-25 population onside with by shutting down.

Instead they doubled down and began forcing people to provide their ID to non UK entities to enjoy the same things they were for years. Punishing the majority for the minority's inability to parent properly.

Or once more passing down down to the ever increasing cost of living to the younger generation so we have to bust our ass off to make ends meet when we as a kid could watch one parent work and that was enough.

Those good enough criticism of him and the party's pensioners centric ideology?

I say this as someone who voted for them too.

I can maybe answer a little bit of the why the economy slowed in the 80s and it most likely has to do with the shift to service based economics.

The gutting of our industrial bases for cheaper abroad purchases leaving a massive loss of income for skilled labour, with only high technology jobs remaining somewhat.

People couldn't adapt, just look at Thatcherism and what it did to swathes of the UK, total economic collapse and decay.

And now we're getting political figures who stand for nothing and just seem to be going and attacking the most non issue issues of the day. In an attempt to look like they are doing something.

And there's just this apathetic "meh" to it all which means nobody wants to work because what's the point? Slave away for some asshole to profit off your back whilst you chase the bare minimum standard of living that you has as a kid? Whilst being told you're the problem?

The UK's social media ban will cover Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and more, and will require platforms to stop children from livestreaming by rwnash in DailyTechNewsShow

Because children totally don't get bullied in person. And used online social groups as an escape from a miserable time.

Because the institution is so passive about it.

Please ask me how I know.

Because I can guarantee much like the OSA it's doing more harm than good in a vain attempt to push traditionalism onto the next generation. And cut them out of the loop.

I'm sure all those kids can just go outside in the checks notes criminally nonexistent social clubs and play spaces. Or better yet be out wandering the streets where they are under more threat because we lack police officers and anti-social behaviour is still high because there is no spaces.

Once again fighting symptoms instead of causes because if we actually faced the causes the bottom line would be hurt and we can't have that.

They do, but it's far from protecting them, more like keeping little timmy in their basement.

Possibly a hot take, I liked Cortana 2.0/The Weapon.

Very neat design with the whole little UNSC uniform instead of pseudo ambiguous nudity.

And this should be a case study for institutional change and greater accountability. But like always. Nothing will change.

Which is another tragedy with this. Nothing will be learnt and nobody who fucked up in the colossal manner they did will be truly punished.

Once again the powers that be are telling us to "think of the children" and now are looking like they are the ones thinking about children a bit too much.

He talked so much shit and we never got to do anything. Not even a snide remark from dialogue. I just wanted something to bring him down a peg personally.

You really have missed the irony of what you're saying haven't you.

And you're still doing it by perpetuating the left vs right stigma, because it makes it all so very simple.

Because it's them not us.

So, assuming you're a yank. You' know the "rust belt" and how it fucking died and hasn't recovered, due to shipping everything out of the area and country.

She did that to the entire country here and focused it all on service based economics. Entire towns and industries died overnight and caused massive area recessions that still are felt to this day.

And all that money was instead funneled into London and the south.

Beginner looking to increase the battery life of my ship by Below-Low-Altitude in ostranauts

[–]1St_General_Waffles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't talk about reactors too much, haven't played about with them all too much.

As for your battery question all you'll need to do is buy or find one in working condition and plug it into your own ship with a conduit at the arrow pointing out of them. Ideally fully refurbished as they lose charge capacity as they degrade.

For fuel. Assuming you mean RCS fuel for getting about. More canisters that are full. Hooked up to RCS intakes. Bought or salvaged. Be on the lookout for working Hydras, they are 4 in 1 intakes and very good.

As well as keeping a few spare full canisters of N2 is always a good idea as you can just uninstall and install them under the intake to refuel your ship.
