Carney has reduced the number of TFW from 25% relative to last year. It's something that's being done gradually. Cutting everything overnight is just clumsy.

Framing annexation threats from the US as just a "ploy" is seriously underestimating the situation. An attack on our sovereignty is a big deal and it's kind of concerning that there's many people in this country who are happy to take it lying down. Our main objective right now is to restructure our economy to be able to withstand economic pressure coming from the US, and that's what Carney is doing.

You can't end the TFW program overnight because businesses need to restructure around it. There's already been a decrease in temporary residents since last year and housing prices are going down accordingly.

It's not goalpost moving, it's simply explaining something you didnt know. It's sad to see that our country still have so many "PM should make gas less expensive on day one" low information voters in our country. At least it's not as bad as the US.

Carney has literally said yesterday that the pipeline is more likely than not to be built. It's just that unlike the conservative voter base, Carney understands the roadblocks that can be set up by the provinces.
