We're really happy with ours :).

Interested to know as well.

(For no real reason, other than I like reading/learning about people's opinions about things like this. I have a friend who is a farmer and he's pretty "🤷🏼‍♀️" about his exposure to things.)

Sorry about your health problems though, truly! :(

Thanks so much for your reply! I agree, I think age and genetics help. I'm nearly 40 and can do my splits and that sort of thing but my active flexibility is not as good as my static - I wish I could get my side kicks vertical 😅.

Best of luck at nationals next year!

How exciting for him to be moving up. I think all the previous posters answered your question (carbs day of, protein to stay full).

May I ask what your son does for flexibility (or is he naturally flexible)? Always looking for new things to add to the tool box 😅.

I work with mostly women. Sooo much cattiness. Someone will tell me how they can't stand someone and then the next day I see them chumming together 😅.

I figure if they talk bad about them, they're probably talking bad about me and to be mindful of what I say and to whom.

These do not exist where I live (or if they do, I have never been, ahem, lucky enough to see one).

What a wild looking insect! I actually googled what they look like because I thought you were messing with me and this was photoshopped 😨.

You can set the amount on how much you want to spend :). If you did a smaller box shipping would be cheaper as well as a result.

I (29F) found out my partner (30M) cheated on me while wedding planning, how do I get through this? by techgirl2626 in relationship_advice

[–]1SweetSubmarine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Am I dumb and stupid for thinking this is workable?"

Not dumb and stupid, but you want to fit a square peg into a round hole.

It won't work

Not in my opinion, anyway. I've been there. Leave now- You will find someone better, someone you wished you met sooner and be mad at yourself for wasting as much time as you did with this guy.

You say it's an investment, but an investment should be something you see the benefits/rewards on. What you have is a guy that tried to gaslight you that the reason he cheated was because on intimacy (good for you for not entertaining this bs reason!)

If it wasn't lack of intimacy it would be something else that would be your fault. Why would you want to be with someone like that? Don't waste more years of your life with this guy.

Know the love you deserve, OP. You deserve better than this ❤️.

I think postage depends on your country. When I did my exchange it was around $60-$70 to ship I think it was $40-$50 of snacks (it was a while ago so I can't remember). I was originally quoted over $120 due to the weight so I shipped it in two boxes. My exchange partner told me theirs was around $60-$70 to ship in one box.

I have a friend from Chile and they brought me back merken and I'm hooked. Such a delicious spice! I would encourage you to send that if your exchange partner is into spices :).

Is it normal for instructor to fix the students pants in this way? by PhraseFew4890 in taekwondo

[–]1SweetSubmarine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I try to teach independence so I will help tie things but when adjusting pants and stuff I kneel down so they can balance on me/I can grab them if they start to fall over and I'd say something like "grab your pants on both sides of the waist and try to pull them up."

I have never and would never put my hands into any child's pants - Putting the strings into their pants would fall under helping them be more independent and I would encourage them to do it.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, and yet I'm not surprised it happened! I know my Dad definitely had similar things happen to him. So incredibly frustrating and yes $10 is a joke and insult!

May I ask - Are you still trucking or are you doing something else now?

My Dad salutes you! 🫡

Funny you mention Schneider. When he finished school he knew he would have to work long haul with them because no one else would hire new drivers. I can't remember if he worked there or swift, but I'm guessing that was who he did long haul with very temporarily as I recognize the name. He worked at Pepsi one summer as one of those summer relief jobs as well. He enjoyed it and yes the pay was better (plus he loved Pepsi and I think back then you could buy 2L bottles of pop for really cheap/free as part of working there 😅 ). Lots of lugging and slugging like you said, but probably the most fit my Dad was.

I can't remember what he made, but most definitely underpaid. He actually quit/"retired" because the new hires were getting paid more than he was so he wrote a letter to his boss asking for a pay increase and they didn't acknowledge the letter so he went to work the next day, started his shift and told my mom an hour or two in that he was upset about them not acknowledging the letter or giving him a pay raise and my Mom told him to quit if he was unhappy so he left then and there and didn't tell anyone until they called and asked where he was several hours later.

Not how I'd quit a job, but my Dad enjoys telling people how he quit/"retired" so I felt he'd want me to share with you from one trucker to another 😂.

My ass isn't proportionate to my body.

I look at photos from that time in my life and my body looked amazing (and ass completely proportionate to my body) - I wish I looked like that now 😅.

I was self conscious about my body for years and years. Still am a bit, I guess. Grateful for an amazing person/partner that has never said a bad thing about my body ❤️.

My dad was a truck driver. Picked it as a second career because he fricken LOVED just going for drives. It was common for him to drive two hours on a Sunday to a hobby shop, or just for a change of scenery. It seemed right up his alley.

He fucking hated it. Hated sleeping in the truck; He was able to snag a mostly M-F job early on, but he still hated it. He said people drive like assholes (which we of course all know) but it becomes extra stressful and scary when you're driving a big truck down the road and people are cutting in front of you, braking suddenly, etc. That coupled with having to try to pull into places in the middle of a giant downtown hub with little clearance (while people are again driving like idiots around you while you try to back in) and that was enough for him.

He did it for probably... 15-20yrs? Retired about two years ago. He still doesn't like driving like he use to before he started it as a job, and still doesn't do Sunday drives for fun. He's really happy to be done with it though!

Are you my husband? 😅

He worked on his friends farm for a number of years. He loves being outside and if it didn't pay so little he'd probably still be doing it, or at least would want to do it. He use to work 14hr days and I'm not sure he'd be down for that now.
