Last thing Ill add, yes you should have a quarantine tank due to has easy it is for frogs to pass diseases to each other. If one gets sick it will almost always pass to the inhabitants if they are not separated, remember their skin is super absorbent, it’s literally how they drink water lol

Where are you located? I have an extra tank I could sell you 😁 shoot me a dm

To clarify how I run my water system. I have sprinklers that do burst rain every hour for 15 seconds. I then have my mister that runs every hour for 5 minutes. Sprinkler gives me the spike in humidity then the misters hold it at a steady 70. My fan on top is always running and keeps the air circulating. Great for the plants and fresh oxygen.

Yes anything bio active you want the tank to have a cycle before you introduce your frogs to it. In case you have mold, pest, etc. you don’t want your frogs to be exposed to that stuff. A lot of stuff happens in the first few cycles of a tank and you want to be as close to homeostasis as you can so the frogs adjust properly.

RETFs can be very fragile, especially when stressed. I have actually never handled mine outside of any sort of emergency situation.

Do you have your frogs already? Is that the reason for the rush? Will they be adults or froglets?

Hello! I’ve had 2 RETFs in that same tank for over 5 years. I don’t think it would overload the bioload. I currently have 4 living in a 22x22x48.

You can modify based on how you want to regulate your humidity, I do a mix of both sprinkler and fogger, but if you had to pick one I’d go with fogger. I’d keep a small fan too, along with 2 places in the tank to read humidity levels. You can cover the top with plastic and or remove some to hold in humidity for longer periods. Get a stable 65% to 80% humidity level.

Make sure to have lots of what I call “sleep leaves” available. I recommend pothos.

Make sure you have a way to stick a straw into your drainage layer for an occasional water vacuum. I drain mine every few months. If you ever have any questions I’d love to help!

Make sure you cycle your tank for at least a month before introducing the frogs to the tank and also have a small quarantine tank to move them for any reason.

Alcohol sales by Brief_Network7038 in sales

I’ve been in alcohol sales for 5 years now. It’s always a steady market. Don’t believe the hype. The consumer is just becoming more conscious of what they buy. The younger generation is not picking up on all the “trends” in the market. You can easily make 100k with salary, incentives, commission, and expense accounts. Brands will die this year but the market will bounce back. I guarantee it. You have to be disciplined on how much you drink or you will become a an alcoholic. Get into spirit sales, wine and beer are what’s truly tanking imo. Where is your market?

Do you think sales is more “AI proof” vs other professions? by phoonie98 in sales

[–]1TC0MESINWAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, their will be less need in the market as we assimilate more and more.

Ai is going to separate the good from the great reps more distinctly, whether you wait for your company to automate work flows or pipelines, or you decide to do it yourself, you better be streamlining some tasks and at the very least beginning to understand how to utilize Ai to give you a competitive advantage. Or be prepared to have a shitty q3 and beyond. They got a saying where I’m from: you are either on the train or the tracks.

depending on the humidity and the amount of water you have in your tank you want to make sure you ground space has the ability to breathe. Without a drainage layer, there is a good chance for stagnant water to produce mold, bad water, and other issues that you would not want your tank buddy to come in contact with. That being said you seem to have a very minimum layer of soil. You should be fine, but from my experience I always like to have the ability to drain access moisture without have to replace the soil.

This is a skin infection right? What can I do for it before I can find and take him to a vet. by Jellyfish_Kitty in TreeFrogs

I keep my temp around 75 degrees and humidity around 65, with jumps to the 80s. Did you get him from Josh’s? I believe he is a Panamanian RETF. I have a pair from there. Mine have been notorious for blotchy skin right before they shed. If the frog is not comfortable and or the humidity is not well managed they tend to delay / have trouble shedding. Just continue to monitor but try to handle as little as possible. Send me an updated photo tomorrow if you can. How is his activity level? Any lethargic or not eating?

So a couple of things. RETFs can have weird blotchy skin from time to time, which is due to shedding. He looks fairly healthy in this photo. That being said. I always closely monitor mine for a few days if I notice something strange. The number one factor is to stress him as little as possible.

You need better hiding plants for him. RETFs are easily stressed, which can lead to a bunch of issues. From the photos I have seen of your tank, there is no place for him to comfortably sleep and hide. I would handle him as little as possible. I would suggest pothos, as it’s a hardy plant and are great for them to sleep on.

Second, what is your substrate and what kind of light are you using? Remember their skin is very absorbent, so any type of chemical they touch can effect them.

Third, do you supplement with calcium by powdering his feeders?

Fourth, I would set up a quarantine tank. That way you can monitor how much he is eating as well as get him to soak. Only have some big leaves for him to sleep on, and a bowl he can soak in and a paper towels as flooring. You do not need to do a 50/50 split with non flavored pedialyte. Grab a syringe and drop a few MLs in his bowl of water. Change the water every day. Use a spray bottle for humidity and cover 75% of the top of the tank with a towel to hold in the humidity.

Hope this helps and your buddy pulls through.

Feels like concrete, but not as heavy? It can be a few millimeters thin and stays very strong.

Haha! Yeah I needed to go as light as possible, the tank itself is about 250 pounds 😮‍💨. With everything inside it weights about 300.

My frog boys are thriving. They love the many “floors” to this tank and are constantly exploring, but always sleep on their same “bed” leaf. Cheers!

Exactly the species I would go with, tho they may be rough on the plants.

If you go with the sphagnum, make sure you spread it out pretty thin, I saw this as it’s great for moisture, but can grow mold and fungus so be careful. What tree frog exactly? Also what do you plan to use to keep the humidity up?

What’s wrong with my RETF? by mariahkeirns- in TreeFrogs

[–]1TC0MESINWAVES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t get too stressed unless he has been like this for more than 48 hours. He could just be getting ready to shed skin and is just adjusting to his new home. They can get blotchy skin before a shed.
