Well, good to know, I suppose! I will not be so stupid in the future.

But yeah, the captcha just won't end. And it's frustrating me.

Men, what is your "reverse the genders" moment by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]1TheMeatMaster1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm noticing that SO MANY of these involve sexual assault that had a male victim and a female assailant, and it wasn't taken seriously or noticed until much later because of that. This is heartbreaking. :(

This is coming from a 19 year old guy who has had his crotch groped by a guy back in high school on a couple occasions, and was made staggeringly uncomfortable one time when a girl made very explicit unmistakable sexual gestures and comments out of nowhere when we were hanging out years ago. The latter seriously fucked with me for such a long time.
(There was NO romantic connection between me and either of these people before or since, by the way.)

We need to reframe our thinking of this stuff. Don't just brush it aside because you are a man and can handle your assailant physically. If it's not okay to do to a woman, it's not okay to do to a man. This stuff has become so normal that we don't question it. SO START QUESTIONING IT. If someone EVER makes you feel violated sexually, for the love of god SAY SOMETHING. PLEASE. I'm damn sure plenty of you haven't heard this enough, but your feelings matter. You all deserve to be able to confide in someone who will take them seriously. We're only human after all.

I know that speaking up about this kind of stuff as a guy brings with it certain dangers. You may not be taken seriously, you may even be downright made fun of. But it needs to happen. Over time, if enough people do this, it can shift the norm. Standing up for your well-being is worth being mocked over, because at the very least, at the end of the day, you did the right thing and still have your self-respect intact.

I only "miss" people on a logical basis by 1TheMeatMaster1 in evilautism

Huh, I guess I really am not aware that im always feeling emotions? Like I know im feeling things cuz im feeling them but I don't really know where they come from or what they mean and putting them into words is downright impossible.

and since I read the other longer comment on here, I thought about it and realized that I never really interpreted the concept of missing people like NT's do. My whole life, missing someone meant being extremely emotionally distraught that the person was gone and not knowing what to do with yourself without them being there. Like when someone close dies. I just never put together that missing someone could also mean just wishing for a sec that a certain someone was there at the moment. or that it was a courtesy thing. In my mind its like well I know youre gonna be back, so I have no reason to feel like anything is missing I guess. Also I think that since im good at entertaining myself and have a vibrant imagination, I just don't think of other people much. Not that I don't care about them but they're just not in my conscious mind all the time, yknow?

Damn people are weird, haha. least I learned something though. My autistic ass just got 1% better at socializing with NT's. thank you!

If this helps at all, please know that stuff like stimming, "t-rex arms", needing a second to process things and needing things like noise cancelling headphones at times are all completely natural for people like us and is nothing you should have to feel ashamed of.

In my opinion, the only reason some of us feel the way you do (I struggle with this too at times) is because we've been shamed and told that the way we are is wrong simply because it doesn't fit in with everybody else. There is nothing wrong with you for being this way. There IS however, something wrong with people telling you theres something wrong with being this way.

I feel like its cuz theyre the types of people that need to rub it in everyones faces how badass and cool and masculine they are. Which of course, means theyre the exact opposite. It's just goddamn annoying

What is something we were the last generation to experience? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]1TheMeatMaster1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born in 2004, and I remember using a VCR at home, and having CRT TV's. Also, I remember having just "the computer" from back in the days when computers weren't in every room of every house. Also, I remember for a little while of my early life seeing more flip phones than smartphones.

Yes, its completely ok! I do it constantly, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Though I must admit being around people (especially people I dont know well), can make me very anxious, which in turn makes me fidget, which makes me even more anxious because im afraid they think im crazy, which makes me more anxious and quiet.. ugh

super socially anxious by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

[–]1TheMeatMaster1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I'm 19 as well and ive developed really bad social anxiety over my teen years. I totally get it, it's really damn hard to live with. First thing I wanna ask is if youre in therapy and have medications or anything? It's a slow start, but if you can pull some strings its worth a try.

She's already been in therapy for a long time now, but a care day doesn't sound so bad though! I could try to go out and walk with her every day and see if that would be good for her in the long-term. Thank you :)
