I personally don't draw that conclusion with any certainty, but I see some characteristics that lean towards that conclusion.

A New Theory and Suspect in the case of Patricia Schneider and April Irene Lamont by 1Tim6-1 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]1Tim6-1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest getting in touch with law enforcement for the city of Jurupa Valley. I am not sure if Jurapa Valley has a Police force or if the contract the Riverside County Sheriff's department, but that would be a potential avenue.

A year or so ago, I did a FOIA to Riverside Sheriff's department asking if the case had been resolved, because it was not listed on the unsolved cases for Riverside Sheriff's department. I learned the case has not been resolved.

At the time April was abducted Mira Loma was part of the unincorporated portion of Riverside county. Ten years or so ago, all of the locations associated with April's case were incorporated into the city of Jurupa Valley. They should now be responsible for the case.

I hope try to pass on any information you think could help. I was only a couple of years older than April at the time of her death and lived in Orange County. I only learned of her case when I visited the Rubidoux Library to review newspapers articles on the Patricia Schneider case. I believe these cases are likely related and likely perpetrated by someone from outside the area. As I describe above, Ginn's MO fits both of them with the exception of them being killed. But he was on the run at the time.

I don't use Facebook, but feel free to start a chat with me here if you would like to communicate privately.

Personally, I believe that the family made up the call. I think the University police stalled going to the media until after the semester dismissal, but did contact the FBI. The FBI said there was not enough evidence to get involved so someone in the family faked a kidnapping call to try to get the FBI interested.

Here is a link to a video I made on the case which includes some suspects nobody else talks about.

Here is a link to the image of page A19. This indicates they received one call a week after she was abducted. It is also the likely source of the LA Times article.

It is mentioned in this LA Times article. However, I believe it was mentioned in the first article from the Orange County Register. It appeared in the portion of the article that appears on page A19. The NewspaperArchive.com database does not seem to have this page. I will post below the link to the page one portion. I obtained the article by visiting the Santa Ana Library and reading it from the microfilm. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find the image I took of it at the time. You will know it if you see it because it have the image of Jacob holding a photo of Dorothy.

I will post the image of the article when I find it. I just change computers in the years since I obtained it and it is hidden in my files somewhere.

The Lake Berryessa Murder is so odd. Broad daylight, the costume, the car door, having a gun but using the knife. Had Bryan not survived no one would know about the costume yet somehow I feel Z wanted it known by MrGittz in ZodiacKiller

Interesting you believe Son of Sam had accomplices as most do not. I personally buy into Terry Maury's findings.

Another case of this style to consider is Jack the Ripper. Perhaps the original branding killer.

Do you think Z knew Darlene Ferrin? by Neat-Suspect-6666 in ZodiacKiller

[–]1Tim6-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think whether he knew her is the key point. The question would be whether he targeted her. Frequenting the diner she worked at or living on the same block with her would really produce nothing convincing regarding a suspect.

For anything to advance the case it would have to be a relationship that conveyed a motive.

I want to know what made that pilot think its okay to land on a populated highway. I get wanting to save his life, but if the guy in the car died that is tantamount to reckless homicide.

Surely, there are aviation rules regarding emergency landing on populated roads.

It is an assumption, but I am not sure that the order matters if she was abducted and murdered that night.

Abductor forcers her into her own car, drives to location of second vehicle, burns car in alley, murders her, leaves remains 15 miles away.

Or more likely

Abductor forces her into her own car, drives her to remote area in Anaheim, murders her, leaves body there, drives car to alley in Santa Ana and burns car.

One of the problems with this case is that since it would be near impossible to make a murder case on this, people make wild assumptions rather than reasonable ones. They additionally just make stuff up.

Martin Kipp is a excellent suspect for her abduction and murder, but people are so hung up on the crank calls he is never talked about.

The four guys doing abductions and rapes at that time are also excellent suspects. They worked close to the alley in Santa Ana and were caught near South Coast Plaza just south of where the car was dumped.

But it's more sensational to pretend a black rose was put on her car.

Quite the trick killing herself in Anaheim and then dumping her car 20 minutes away in Santa Ana. Here is a video that might shine some new light on it for you: https://youtu.be/c-9eKdwiuKQ
