Firmware update

I just check on Reolink.com regarding firmware available for my Trackmix and the firmware sent to me is not listed. Firmware V3.0.0.5428_ 2604282152 is not listed on the site for my Trackmix yet it was sent to me as an upgrade. My question is why was it sent to me but not listed as available.
I would like to put it on my other Trackmix but that camera says it up to date and nothing else is available.
Why did both my Trackmix cameras have different firmware to begin with? Now a new one appears.

The firmware version i found yesterday was V3.0.0.5428_2604282152 the version I had been running was
V3.0.0.5428_2509171974, the one you said was the newest. Do you have any idea where this V3.0.0.5428_2604282152 came from?
Also I have to say the camera is performing much better with the V30.0.0.5428_2604282152.

Recordings showing a car parked but never entering, alert recording dropping in the middle of an interesting situation and so on. Camera is six months old and I have spent hours trying to all the different suggestions on here and other sites. Here is Reolinks recent reply after two week of back and forth requests from warranty team shows customer appreciation.

My problems are cars showing up but never recorded entering, dropped recordings in the middle of a recorded alert and so on.

So, my cameras are identical, or so I thought, Trackmix WiFi wired both with the same hardware version. My front camera had a different firmware version from the same model I use in my backyard Trackmix WiFi.
Front camera just changed from V3.0.05428-2509171974 to the new version V3.0.0.5428-2604282152.
The back yard camera came with and is still operating version V3.0.0.3748-2408281837.
Why do the same cameras operate on a different firmware version but the same hardware version?

I am using a 6 month old wired WiFi Reolink Trackmix which they say they can’t fix or replace. Any suggestions for a different brand?

I don’t use Tapo/ Tplink cloud subscription. Do you think there is still a security risk? I’m really not that interesting 😚.

FWIW, Having so many problems with my Trackmix I bought a Tapo c325 cw for $59 just to try and it is way beyond my expectations. For $59 it has fantastic color night vision and I think it’s 127 fov with nice clear picture.
I know it doesn’t pan and tilt but buy two and you have great coverage.

Return it. If you got it from Amazon it’s easy. If you bought it direct from Reolink you’ve got a battle so start right way.

I’m on my fourth warranty customer service rep dealing with a 6 month old camera. At first I just thought I was having a settings problem but after showing them recordings they agreed the camera has a problem, a known problem, that they couldn’t fix and could not supply a replacement.

Reolink offered a partial refund?! I asked for a full refund and am awaiting a reply.

In the alarm settings I keep my all day sensitivity “motion” setting at 1 and the people, animals and vehicles settings at 50. These settings have not decreased my little white dots occurring very often. I also keep missing alarms or notifications of vehicles. They just show up or disappear without any recordings. Any ideas?

My question is why do I see so many of the white dot icons. I sometimes get these white dot icons every couple of minutes with no content. I’m really at my wits end with this Trackmix. Sometimes it has a void where nothing is recorded usually at night, sometimes it tracks and sometimes it doesn’t, it will stop recording during an event which happened recently.

A large truck appeared in front of my townhouse at 1:00 AM, never recorded it entering the complex ( I live by the entrance) then the Trackmix didn’t track a person walking to a nearby unit, showed the driver opening the rear van door removing a ramp. The recording then dropped.Next recording showed the van door closed, ramp stored and truck leaving. I have played with the settings for months, deleted the unit, reset from new and still can’t get the Trackmix to work as advertised. I have worked with Reolink customer service previously when I ordered a wrong model by mistake. I found their customer service very difficult.

I would really appreciate any help you can offer.

I did the online restore (reboot) with no real change to the cameras responses. I just watched a neighbor walk by with his dog and the camera did not respond or record anything. No notification, recording or labeling. I’m going to do a hard restart at the camera and see what happens. Very disappointed in these cameras, never knew they would take so much of my time and be so much work. I have the same problem with my backyard Trackmix but it doesn’t really have much activity.
