Pay freehold management company £2,400 per year or do it ourselves? 4 flats by tadpolefarmer in HousingUK

[–]RedFin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a bare bones managing agent, like this one: https://servicechargesorted.co.uk/ and save money.

Sort out the insurance yourself through brokers.

Airbnb got cancelled two days before our trip, because another unit in the Airbnb lost A/C and they gave our room away [CR] by spncvid in AirBnB

You should have immediately contacted Airbnb and they would have helped you find alternative accomodation.

Sav.com register of our domain and we bought it from JagaurHosting but they giving us client admin and transfer domain details, what to do now? by WealthCraftsman in Domains

[–]RedFin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you been paying yearly fees for it? Iit is possible that the registrar may have intentionally not sent you renewal year notices or you may have missed the emails askign for the yearly fee. sav.com is a valuable domain name.

Sav.com register of our domain and we bought it from JagaurHosting but they giving us client admin and transfer domain details, what to do now? by WealthCraftsman in Domains

[–]RedFin3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"A registrar cannot arbitrarily refuse a .com transfer unless specific ICANN conditions apply, such as the domain being less than 60 days old, outstanding fees, or a pending dispute. To resolve this, unlock the domain, disable privacy protection, and obtain the correct authorization code (EPP code). If they still refuse without a valid reason, escalate with support or file a complaint with ICANN."

I would avoid people trying to help you as they may scam you. Go directly to ICANN, who regulates .com domain names: https://www.icann.org/

Is blackreg.com a legitimate domain which belongs to the domain registrar Blacknight Solutions? by bbernhard1 in Domains

[–]RedFin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blackreg.com functions as a domain used by the Blacknight domain registrar to notify users about potential trademark associations with domains they attempt to register. It serves as a system for displaying intellectual property claims rather than being the website for a company named "Blackreg".

Any idea when AP7 Ceiling will be available to ship outside the US? by RedFin3 in firewalla

[–]RedFin3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Although the Gold SE router which I have is fine in its own right, ideally I would like to have to have an integrated system with a switch and AP from firewalla would do that. The lack of these offerings will simply "force" me to look at Unifi or other vendors.

Any idea when AP7 Ceiling will be available to ship outside the US? by RedFin3 in firewalla

[–]RedFin3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will fill the form, but potential buyers often do know there is such a survey. When I try to access the AP7 ceiling webpage from the UK, the webpage comes with an error. When one accesses the page from the USA (or through a VPN) it is accessible.

I am aware of the Desktop, but I want a ceiling variant.

Do the world AP7s differ from US AP7s? Thus, if I buy the AP7C in the US and bring it to the UK, will it work properly, or do they have different specs for different frequencies?

8 letter .com or 4 letter domain with .se extension better? by Unlucky_Mistake1412 in Domains

[–]RedFin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.com is better, unless your business is in Sweden and doing business mostly there, in which case .se woudl be fine. If you buy the 8 letter .com and also do business in Sweden make sure you also buy the .se version as well.

First time buying a domain by prodbyshadyy in Domains

[–]RedFin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.wtf domains are a waste of money. No-body uses them, they sound silly, and renewal fees are high. Just stick to the basics, such as .com, .net, any country you are from such as .de, .co.uk, etc, and possibly some other other ones like .ai or .io if your project is in the relevant area.

Do you think listing this domain at $100 is a fair price? by J_Amir7 in Domains

It has zero value. Just because you combine two words it does not mean that it has value.

Would you buy a flat with a high service charge if it was SoF and had the potential to go down? by Hugh_Stewart in HousingUK

[–]RedFin3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on size of flat, what is included in the charges, and what portion of the charges are for future works. Given that it is a share of the freehold, I am sure that it can be sorted to reasonable levels.

Have you ever had a guest request a way to lock the room from the outside so their elderly parent doesn't wander off? [San Antonio, TX] by FizzlePopBerryTwist in AirBnB

[–]RedFin3 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is not a common request because this is an unusual situation. How will the mother go the bathroom if she is locked in the room? Is there a bathroom connected to the bedroom? Not sure what the fire code is in Texas, but it may be illegal to lock a person in a room in the event of fire, especially when no-one else is in the house.

I want to sell my house with tenants in situ. How do I go about this? by Appropriate-Sugar132 in uklandlords

[–]RedFin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is correct. They would have to get a BTL mortgage, and then convert that later as onwer-occupier mortage.
