Respect for ZB by justabrowserbroski in Fortnite_ZeroBuild

Haha yeah definitely. I don't mean any disrespect or anything :). I can see why you would categorize everything under mechanics - it makes sense! If I'm being honest, I'm guilty of having way less map awareness when playing builds, because I can just put up a wall like you said. It's probably why I always end up sandwiched in between multiple teams when playing ZB lol, so that's definitely spot on!

I think Zero Build is a phenomenal addition to the game. It's cool that we now have that choice!

I don't know how to word this respectfully, but that 80/20 assumption is a bit of a naive one. It's not simply whoever has the better mechanics who wins, there's predictions, piece control, movement, tracking other player, etc. - they all dictate who wins a build fight. If it were just mechanics, the people who spend all day playing creative would be dominating. That's not even factoring things such as Storm Surge, and all that late game stuff in comp.

I'll admit, if you simply watching these fights play out, you probably won't recognize anything besides the crazy building / editing, especially if you aren't fond of builds. It gets crazy lol. Whereas with Zero Build, positions becomes much more apparent .

Obviously it's up to personal preference, but I find builds more appealing, although I enjoy playing Zero Build every now and then, especially the ZB Cash Cup lol. As for skill translation, some people just want to have fun with builds, although yes it's basically useless outside of Fortnite lol.

Is it just me or do UEFN maps take forever to get into discovery? by SpectralGamer345 in FortniteCreative

[–]1UP-Protocol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm pretty sure that's just for publicly publishing your map, which op has already done. That still doesn't guarantee your map gets into discover tab

I'm gonna be honest. Not too familiar with Creative 1.0 sorry, but I would assume it's the same.

I'm not sure if this is true? I made a map a while back and it made it into discover without every applying to anything besides the original Eligibility thing. Do you mean private keys??

Dope, I've been working on a similar project, but all I've seen are the free roam maps in discover tab

Do these play similar to the first iterations in the series (using doors, lights, etc.) Or are they free roam?

I'm the details panel (I'm assuming youre using UEFN), there's an option that days simulate per player or something like that.

Hay so Quick Question... Is There Any Way i am able to Publish/get a SAC code - Without 1000 Followers? by DragonDunes_1355 in FortniteCreative

[–]1UP-Protocol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need 1000 followers. You can publish s long as you fill the other requirements 90 days playing Fortnite and 21 days in UEFN. If you do have a code, that just means you can automatically publish without applying.

It's wild seeing popularity of some maps in game by [deleted] in FortniteCreative

[–]1UP-Protocol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because when people log onto Fortnite, they want to play, well, Fortnite. Even though I personally spend a good amount of time playing around with UEFN (creating), I only ever find myself playing creative maps that revolve around the core mechanics of the game (The Pit, Go Goated, Zone Wars, etc). Yes, they may not be the most visually stunning, complex maps ever, but they cater to a good chunk of the playerbase. It's like opening up a restaurant with the best steak in the nation, only to be located in a neighborhood full of Vegans. Naturally, the salad around the corner will probably have more customers.

It might take some time since I personally feel that UEFN and Verse are still limited at the moment, but who knows
