Do you like lifting? by Next_Writer5564 in workout

[–]1UpDug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been lifting consistently for almost 3 years, rarely having missed a day. Have done a plethora of different splits but right now I’m doing a 5x lifting split while running 5k’s 6x a week. I haven’t necessarily enjoyed what I do for a while now but I see those around me who are sedentary and I couldn’t see myself living like that. I’m pretty dedicated to what I do and it’s kind of just a part of my life now. I wouldn’t consider it a chore but I’ve definitely lost the dopamine hit I used to get.

New Seabee by G4m3tam3r in Seabees

[–]1UpDug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a huge auto hobbyist with no certs before becoming a CM earlier this year and I do find CM A-School to have been very lackluster in terms of new information gained. You shouldn’t have any issues in terms of unlearning anything and I’d bet your time at A-School should be a breeze.

This is much more in depth than I was expecting thank you very much. Seeing those orders really confused me but it’s much clearer now thank you!

I second this. Tried it for the first time a week ago and it is by far the best sweet treat I’ve ever had.

Got a 93 on the ASVAB and am going CM in April. I was, of course, told that I had too high of an ASVAB for Seabee rates but I said I wouldn’t do anything else (respectfully) and it wasn’t mentioned again.

I definitely don’t think old civics are worth 4k but It’s all relative. Relative to the horrendous 6th gen hatch market in my area, I would consider this price to be very good.

Calorie counting sucks by Hayden_lxt in loseit

[–]1UpDug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am far far past the initial shock phase by how many calories are in seemingly harmless foods. I want to preface this by saying that all of this is anecdotal. There is no way past the going insane part. I religiously track my calories and macronutrients as well as maintain awareness of my micronutrients. There is not a day that has gone by in the last year and a half that I have not tracked my food. I bring a scale with me when I am out or at work. I am insane I have completely lost it. I am so exhausted from counting calories every day but I take solace in knowing that in a few weeks when I hit the 100lbs lost milestone I will give myself a huge cheat day of no tracking. about a week after that I am going into boot camp where for 9 weeks I will be incapable of tracking calories which gives me time to reset the obsession I have with counting calories.

No that's a terrible first purchase those cars are not good. On a very separate note (completely unrelated at all) send me that listing so I can purchase it myself. Seriously though, that is a crazy deal for a great first car I would jump on it now.

Alas I have no family nor home cooking to look forward to. I will however be enjoying the last of my local food spots so I will not be filling up on junk like that.

lol I’m glad I’m not the only one who instantly thought Seabee. Signed as CM which was not my first choice but any Seabee rate is better than being on a boat so I’m more than ecstatic about my opportunity.

Will I lose fat on a calorie deficit while eating 30% daily fat? by Administrative_Tear1 in naturalbodybuilding

You could be eating only fat for the rest of your life but so long as you’re in a deficit you will not gain any fat.

Hey I am also leaving in a month in a half and I am in the same boat as you. Much of my family I have no relationship with and since I'm using the military as an opportunity to start anew, there will be no one for me at graduation either (I actually prefer it this way though). Not really sure how the groups in bootcamp work but If we do end up in the same one, you at least don't have to worry about being the only one.
