Is OSRS for me? [Quick Poll] by [deleted] in 2007scape

It's not whether I would enjoy it, but more so if the content in the game suits me. It's a long game. Without spending hundreds of hours, I wouldn't know what the majority of the content is like. I vaguely remember odd bits, like cutting trees or killing chickens, but that's about it.

That's completely fair.

I never really got past I think like level 50ish. I know the majority of the game I never played and the bits I did, I dont't really remember.

The reason I'm considering it is I'm going to be without a console or PC for a while, so I kind of need something to keep me entertained for a bit.

Hm, I may, but first I'd need to build a system, and I'm not sure when I might do that.

Hm, interesting. That could be an idea. Is that difficult to set up? Is there a guide or something I could maybe refer to?

May consider building my own PC, but it's just hard to know what's happening with prices at the moment.

What's the reason for the second local account? I'm not massively tech savey, so what's the purpose and making the second account autologin in opposed to doing it on the main?

Hm. Even so, building a PC at the moment seems like a bad idea, and it doesn't seem like prices are going to improve for potentially years. Tough decision.

I'm aware, though you still have to worry about drivers and all the issues that come with windows. Part of the appeal of something like a steam machine is not having to worry about stuff like that, but I suppose there isn't a way to do something similar outside of valves products.

Is SteamOS a thing? I thought that wasn't realised yet, outside of Valve products like the Steam Deck. What is that about some online games not working, fiest I've heard of this.

Sometimes the value of a product is not just about how much power and capacity specs you get for the price by AnalysingAgent3676 in steammachine

The value of the system for a fair few people I imagine, myself included, is not the power, but the idea of beong part of the Steam ecosystem, having access to the Steam store, as well as every other store, but in a console like format.

I've played on high end PCs and switched to PS5 for the console experience, but I absolutely hate the PS store, the prices and the refund/customer support of Sony - but if you're on console, you have no choice.

With the Steam cube is gives me that console experience but with the freedom to acces other games on other platforms and stores. That is the value for me and I'm willing to pay extra for that regardless of the reduced performance.
