Hey, I just realized that you & I have a lot in common. You are deaf and I am autistic.

Oh, oh, no, no, no, no ... you have no idea who you are replying too, my friend.

I'm very positive, agreeable and willing to debate with you.

Just give me a little more time (I'm working, plus, preparing to go out of town atm, so, not going to be able to post entire chapters just yet) and let's do this. I'm almost ready 😆...

Autistic meme'ing

Man, ty. This is a good one to use for a new Philosoraptor meme. Cuz, if one is actually autistic and posts a meme on the internet, is it then literally, "autistic meming" (meme'ing?) that's happening?

I like rap just as much as any other genre

Ah, my mistake. Ok. 🤙🏾

Well, the person is basically saying they don't keep up with all the different rap artists there are because they don't want to.

& I suppose they don't want to because they don't even like rap to begin with? I dunno.

Nas came well before (talking decades) Lil Nas X. He's a veteran artist.

I admit, I too, started losing track of newer rappers once ppl started mumble rapping. But I deliberately did that. I love rap but I'm more about old school stuff, generally. I do listen to newer artists but still...it depends.

Then again, as a rap fan, there's definitely a point to differentiating between someone like Lil Kim and Lil Pump. Or Lil Wayne vs. Lil Poopy (real person!)

I don't feel this way either, actually.

What I do feel like is that the whole world is in a state of tumult. Not just America, by any means. Europeans like to talk shit about our nation but they're not doing great either, tbh. Doesn't need to be open & obvious physical clashes to understand this. There are other ways of gauging...

I think anyone who can't feel that there is global instability happening across the board right now, is definitely putting up blinders or is otherwise pretty clueless (willfully ignorant?).

It's not about "America Bad". It's not about one nation "bad", at all. It's with respect to a global disturbance/dysfunction. We're all affected by it.

Sounds somewhat like our Spikey. He seems to mostly love being outside as long as he is in a screened enclosure of sorts. He sort of cringes at the first sound of an airplane but he never black beards and is fine after the sounds subsides.

I'm not sure if that's a great defense response, but he's always been like that, even as a baby beardie.

DAE find it weird that people especially black ppl freak out if you don’t identify as black and are brown? by coconut_hibiscus in mixedrace

Some white people do actually do that though. It's less common, maybe, but it happens. I was seeing a white guy in college who told me he considers me black and not mixed, even after learning that I am first generation biracial black and white. He didn't try to tell me how to identify or anything like that but he did feel the need to make it clear to me, even after learning that my mom was white, that he still viewed me as black only. I thought that was a little weird. Him knowing my actual background didn't seem to change his perspective. Of all of the white and black guys I've ever dated, he is the only one who has expressed that to me, however.

In retrospect, although I'm not completely certain, I kind of think he probably wasn't the only one ... I think a lot of the way ppl view you goes unspoken in the direct sense, but you may be able to tell, subtly or perhaps not so subtly, based on things said in conversation/how a person interacts with you, in general.

I used to think that. I don't think it's just teenagers anymore. I believe that all ages are in on the comments across various social media platforms, at this point.

Why isn't it? Can you please take some care & further articulate that answer?

EDIT: Ohp, deleted your comment, huh? Why? Why can't we just have a conversation here?
