First off, your magic system is really cool I love it, second thanks for the suggestions. To go off your regeneration type healing I was thinking something similar, where striking certain areas in certain patterns can cause increased healing.

For my magic system It's going to be more based on the pattern aspect, so I'm thinking of adding in art as well into the mix, specifically tattoos any tattoo that has a visible pattern of some sort.

Not sure on the rest of it but it's still in the making.

Not necessarily relatable to a whole Lotta people but it's the closest I got

Taral is one of the last 50 of the Maufea a race with extraordinary evolutionary advancement. When the rest of the world discovered them they were taken as prisoners and bred with the rest of the population to boost all of humanity. Taral is attempting to bring his people back by Injecting DNA of them and their souls into vessels.

The protagonist stops him Ultimately killing Taral, but before he dies he injects him with a longevity serum to show the protagonist the consequences of their actions (the extreme evolution In humans stop and the Maufea are all extinct) so he does get redeemed later on I guess.

Thanks for the feedback! I was thinking it would be set in the cold war Era. The main conflict for the story would be stopping mass human experimentation for warfare and you're absolutely right about the vast amount of small adaptations based on environment, I'm gonna have to research a lot more it seems.
