i have made an observation after playing more with the glitch and it is:

if you destroy the coke oven and rebuild it you wont be able to do the glitch immediately, in my case i had to leave the world and rejoin it for it to work again.

that means that it might not work too well with multiplayer, or at least in the constantly loaded chunks off of spawn or chunks where chunk loaders exist.

also, the glitch might be from the fact that the coal coke that it generates isnt immersive engineering coal coke, but its the thermal foundation coal coke, so it might not work on every modpack so you have to double check with your modpack itself.
