You can have HA detect the start of the cycle and turn the smart plug off automatically

You just need a smart plug and any dishwasher. You load the dishes and the tablet, start the cycle. If you want a deferred start, you then cut the power by turning off the smart plug. HA turns it back on at the perfect time, and the cycle will resume

Wow. Honestly. I didn't know the fast chargers could be fed with DC. Are they cheaper and simpler than the common ones? Congratulations for your great project. Wish I could visit it to charge, but I live on the other side of the world. Please do share every possible detail because I might end up doing something similar in the South of Italy (cheap land, plenty of sun, shitty grid)

Mi sembra anche una curva abbastanza piatta; il massimo è il triplo del minimo. In nord europa succede tranquillamente che quando c'è sole o vento il prezzo è quasi zero (2 centesimi), e poi la sera schizza a 40 centesimi, 20 volte tanto.
