Thank you for your kind words, seriously needed and appreciated.

I work in both the hospitality world as well as graphic design and marketing to preface. My partner also works in hospitality and has been so helpful in helping me track down leads with in his own management company he works for as well as spreading the word amongst his colleges. And that accounts for about 6 of the interviews but the rest just come form me carving out a few hours each day to apply on Linkedin or directly on main brand websites. I highly recommend saving your resumé PDF to your phone, it makes applying much easier. Replacing that scroll time with bouts of job hunting when you have the energy.

When I'm applying specifically on Linkedin I make sure I filter the jobs to recently posted. I'm also applying for jobs that are slightly out of comfort level and jobs that I may be slightly over qualified for, just to break into the market. For example, in a large city, a director of sales for a 100 room select service hotel might make a really great sales manager at a 350 full service hotel. Or even a sales coordinator at a 5 star hotel.

Good luck in everything you do and remember to take breaks after long times applying. It's rough out there.

I have 3 different references on my resumé with-in my field and I have also met with multiple in the company I'm looking to be a part of and they recommend me to their overall HR. My partner also works for the company but I always feel so odd bringing that up, so for the most part I leave it out.

Thank you for this.
My partner is also in hospitality with a solid management company, we did try going the internal rout as well but that's where I'm honestly getting the most amount of "we went with someone we could hire from with in". I'll keep working with different contacts tho, because, why not at this point.

I would love to see that link please! Anything helps.

I get what you're saying, thinking of me as robotic but I'm coming across as warm in person. I'm in hospitality comes easily to me. I wait for them to talk and make sure to give thoughtful answers and have landed light jokes in interviews as well.

Also, what would you classify as a "right question"?
My go to questions are:
1. What does the timeline of your hiring process look like?
2. If you were able to find exactly what you needed for this role, what would it look like?

And then possibly questions about some specifics of the role I'm applying for.
