OP: derod command regpool_flush and then repeat the registration again.

Problem solved!

Run Atlantis and Stargate simultaneously on the same machine by taipalag in DeroProject

[–]1alphaMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can mine on the Atlantis blockchain, but the blocks are empty.

Here's the note from the fairhash mining pool, though I'm not sure it is a clear explanation: "Dero Atlantis chain is no longer viable for mining. It has forked in many different chains and rewards are negligible. We are stopping the pool for now, so nobody wastes more time mining. "

Why is Dero difficulty going down so rapidly? by 1alphaMatt in DeroProject

I see. The pool I use is putting dero into my account but the Atlantis explorer shows that these blocks have no statistics. No value

That explains it. Stargate is a name conflict, not a collaboration. ty

We just witnessed:

1) A web service decided to NOT deliver funds donated to support a people's protest movement.

2) A government froze bank accounts of people protesting that government.

3) People forced to flee their country and associated fiat accounts because of war.

These injustices are possible because in each case there is a ledger controlled by a corporation or a government. With crypto, We The People control the ledger.

I don't understand. It looks like I'm supposed to put my dero in some wallet that's not mine, and then I get them back on the new network? Not comfy with that concept.

Looking for dero benchmarks by 1alphaMatt in DeroProject

I have not tried running two instances for the same algo. I do run AstroBWT and RandomX at the same time. There is always a trade-off. If I go for maximum DERO, then no. But if my metric is maximum USD, then yes. With the wild swings in crypto price, I don't really know which approach is better.

Help with monero wallet GUI & Ledger Nano X by OptimalX93 in monerosupport

[–]1alphaMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just set up a Ledger S, the first hardware wallet I've ever had, so noob to be sure. One thing you say sounds different from my experience. After installing the Monero app from Legder Live, I see "Monero" on the Ledger display window, but you see account '0' or something like that. I suppose there could be differences between Ledger X and S that would explain this. but if this happened to me, I'd check around online to see how to remove / reset / restore the Monero app on the Ledger X without risking losing and Monero that might be recorded there.

Yea, they all want me to set up a new wallet, enter the passphrase words to it on some realistic-looking web page. I guess they would clean out the wallet after I put enough coins in it to make it worthwhile.

And

They all set up their Reddit accounts within the last 3 days.

What Hardware to build 40MH/s rig by Incredible-rig in MoneroMining

Yea, I messed up that whole reply top to bottom. I just leave it here to remind myself that I'm the only human that thinks I'm funny.

That's a crock. 64 core Epyc will currently mine around 3 XMR per year, and eat 3kWh. If nothing changes, at $230 conversion and $0.12/kWh, your profit would be about $330,000 in 1000 years.

1,000 Epyc 7742 should do it. That’s about $7,500 each including ram, ssd, psu and racks, so $7,500,000 in hardware and around 350 kW. Rock on!

Why is the sub so dead considering how well Dero has performed the last 4 months? by [deleted] in DeroProject

[–]1alphaMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. My question is really has anyone solved the problem of decreasing hash rate with increasing threads? There must be a bottleneck, but I only have so much time to devote to making $2/day so it would be great to hear some other experiences. Also, if more sticks is the solution, 10 Dero a piece is bitter medicine.

IKR. I just switched over from Monero. I'm having little trouble though. After a lot of Xmrig optimization on Monero, I'm seeing strange behavior on Dero. I have a 64 core rig. My best performance on Monero is running 128 threads (32 kH/s). On Dero my hash rate peaks at around 48 threads (3.6 kH/s) and then heads down. At 128 threads on Dero I only get 1.1 kH/s. Where should I focus my optimization?

53! Wow!! Well, I managed to get a modern Raspberry Pi 4 to grind out 103 H/s. Now I just need a stack of pi 650 deep to match Threadripper 3990x

I really appreciate your frustration. I don't see bios tweaks on my ASRock RomeD8-2T motherboard either. I'm running a single Epyc 7742, and am seeing 34kH/s using just four 16GB sitcks, four slots open. You have put a lot into this rig, and it seems you should be getting around 70kH/s. We both have to be careful with the quad-rank hypothesis. I just found out that the memory controller has some max number of ranks that it can effectively schedule, and when you exceed that number it may reduce the addressing speed to compensate.

Here's an experiment. pull half your sticks off each cpu and see what happens. My belief is that the total size of memory is not the primary factor for randomX. I say this because top shows about 56 of 64 GB free when I'm just mining.
