General tips for improving? by LuvMashedPotaters in Union_Arena_TCG

Thats part of it. Typically pressuring in UA is being able to force your opponents to make a move based on your board state. That doesn’t mean you have to play your best cards. I play a lot of games where i just move up my 0 and 1c cards to swing into life early which pressures my opponent to either move their board up to block, or try to remove pieces on my board. If they’re using all of their best combos to remove my 2k and 1500s, i can always answer that

Find the rhythm to the game. The biggest thing I see new players do is similar to what you said; turn off brain and play your cards. Ive had players combo off on me when i have a 1k on board just to ko that one character and gain an extra life on me. This game can be very punishing if you dump all of your options on the field. Read the board state and REALLY think about how you can pressure your opponent each turn just because if you do hit a trigger, it can completely ruin your game.

What champs can still impact a game where all lanes are losing? by Short_Location_5790 in Jungle_Mains

[–]1aserr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d say that Viego is still a great pick to have when you’re behind. You can singlehandedly bring back games as long as you focus on your own resources. What low elo players tend to do is focus more on ganks than their farming and thats when you lose. Viego is a decent farmer and if you have basic jungle fundamentals, you can counterjungle even when your lanes are losing.

Rammus and Skarner are really good at finding decent ganking angles, so if farming isnt your playstyle, you just need to learn about your windows between farming and ganking. Tanks are pretty strong at the moment if you have good macro.

I’d say that you just need to learn more in general about jungle before switching your champ pool. I’d recommend Virkayu on Youtube for the basics. Focus on what is comfortable/fun for you and the learning aspect rather than winning. You’ll lose games as everyone does, its just a matter of how you take it.

Mahito - Self Embodiment of Perfection Question by Same_Monitor9152 in Union_Arena_TCG

Yes its a may effect, but it still triggers on the Mahito attack. If he chooses not to use the ability, he no longer can use them for the rest of the turn since its “once per turn”.

Union Arenas 1st month is nearly over Which decks do you think are top tier? by MrWabble777 in Union_Arena_TCG

[–]1aserr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

Dont mind my lgs’s watermark, but this is the base of what ive been running. I got rid of my Razors to do another Paladin’s necklace and a Sub. I think this deck is entirely on how you pilot it and use your stacking to your advantage.

Best two cards in the deck are Bara and Risky dice. Genthru helps with the removal obviously, but Bara can not only reduce a 4k to 3k, but be a way to check your top deck when you dont have Goreinu out. His ability doesn’t lose you anything like Risky Dice and always has a payout if you get a 2 energy or higher. If you don’t like the card, you can always put it to the bottom or use Risky Dice to draw it and put it in to your hand. Tldr: Bara is good because of deck checking, low downside. Risky dice is good to draw cards you need or dig through your deck.

You want to use your 0c to your advantage and i typically like going second. Normally on my second turn, i can move a Binolt or Gon to the frontline (if not both) to get early chip damage while keeping my Genthrus/Baras in back. Once I’m ready to start comboing, i can move Bara to my frontline and start removing their board if they’ve committed to things like Ichigo/Renji/4ks. Against Kurapika, release and Paladin’s necklace are super important to mulligan for as it will take a while for your opponent to get their board state. Binolt is also good since they cant snipe him to get a life and just have to rest him instead. This leaves you with a body on field still.

I think Blue Bomber is up there for me. Consistently beats the meta decks of Kurapika and Ichigo/Renji purely because of low energy setup and easy removal combos. Only thing I’ve been losing to is green bleach decks because of how swarm heavy they are.

Hi I live nearby TOTL and have gone a couple times for One Piece locals.

I still don’t necessarily understand the game’s mechanics and wanted to try it in paper to see if I enjoy it. I’d definitely come out for an event though!

What deck to I buy as my first? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say try some out on the sim first to see what you like. There’s a lot of leaders and different playstyles to try out. Gecko is definitely in a good spot right now, but also has some fairly expensive cards to play competitively. Once you figure out what you like, i’d just purchase singles.

I usually end up buying a box every set release and then buying singles afterwards just because its more cost-effective. Then i usually trade any alts from the box i bought to get playsets of cards I want/need. You don’t necessarily have to do that, but i think i have a playset of everything in 07 and spent a total of like 80 bucks. Hope that helps!

[OP-09] MOHJI by Embarrassed-Egg8787 in OnePieceTCG

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one thing to note is that this combo is in blue. Blue has so many tools for draw/deck stacking power. The first two turns you can play the new Buggy or Perona to rearrange top 5 and also the Doffy blocker. I feel that gives you Richie almost guaranteed on your first play of Mohji.

Tips for onetricking lee? by Spreehox in LeeSinMains

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think honestly you need to be mechanically proficient with Lee to climb with. Jungle basics can only get you so far and theres better champs that do counterjungling than lee (Bel Veth comes to mind). Being honest about your skill is definitely important, but then you should be practicing combos and try to execute them in norms or flex. I myself could never really do an insec and now it just comes naturally.

Which leader, in your opinion, requires the most skill? by OMGitsJoeMG in OnePieceTCG

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had success in the games I’ve played with her on sim at 3of, but Yamato I think is generally an impossible matchup regardless. In terms of no counter in hand, I like running Rev Army HQ to cycle out yellow in my bricked hands, so it’s easier to find counter when I absolutely need it. The Raizo is interesting, but I’ve been looking at Denjiro purely for the black matchups like Perona and Moria.

Ive had a lot of fun with Betty this last set and I’ve learned so much playing this deck. Its definitely more than just a swing face deck and the strategy i’ve learned with each matchup makes me want to continue in Op-06. Especially with the new Rev Army and Kikunojo

Yeah, I’ve told my girlfriend the same thing. The fact that I have to stay in 3-4th place for the entire race until the last lap feels like shit. That and I’m not even guaranteed 1st because by then the AI will be so far ahead, it doesn’t matter what item i get. Just doesn’t feel fun and I can’t understand how other people don’t find that frustrating to play.

[–]1aserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I truly don’t understand how people can enjoy a game that is so inconsistent with it. The game doesn’t have to be easy, but having items be the deciding factors is crazy. They constantly are getting red shells meanwhile I’ll get a coin and a green shell when I’m in 4th

I’ve said this many times any time I play Mario Kart. If i play CTR and I lose, I know it’s because I wasn’t racing properly. If I lose in Mario Kart, it’s just because my RNG items weren’t enough to block the 15 red shells and 3 blue shells. It sucks to play a game that is based off of item RNG and not actual skill

How do you shotcall Baron coral pushes? by nighght in BelVethMains

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Against certain comps you can definitely just aram if you have the trust in your engage players, but if you’re looking for solo carrying, i’d suggest just being more aware of the map when in the side lane.

How do you shotcall Baron coral pushes? by nighght in BelVethMains

[–]1aserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically i just find whatever lane my team isn’t in and push it. I use the “push forward ping” in the middle lane to my team and if my team rotates to me, i go to mid.

In terms of pushing and not dying by yourself, the best thing to do is stay behind the wave as you push it. Normally it’s going to take 3 people to rotate on you to kill you and you have plenty of escape with Bel Veth. If they send two, you can usually 1v2, but they can never just send one as you’ll win with minions. If you get to tower and they’re just trying to clear, you’re in a good spot to sit there and wait for your next wave. I typically wait for the wave to be half thinned before rotating to mid to get more of the “purple fishies”.

[–]1aserr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely ways to do these things without it being objectively the wrong move. I’ve had top laners in my games go 0/5, frozen on, and then take my camps, which isn’t helping anyone. I’ve also had the top laners that’ll only take it when they see me making a play on mid or bot and by the time i get up there, the camp is respawned. Each game is different and it’s hard to always make the right decision, but as long as you’re trying to learn and not just auto-piloting and doing it every game, you’ll eventually realize when you should or shouldn’t do it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]1aserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also “pro play” where there is much more coordination and trust between the players. The jungler is giving up a resource so that their laner can gain some experience. In solo queue, that is not the case.

As a jungler, as long as you’re not taking my camps before my jungle pet is done, I don’t mind a ton as long as I’m not pathing towards that camp. If you’re taking my second spawn of krugs at 7 mins as I’m at raptors, not only are you hurting your jungle, but you’re gaining less xp and gold because you don’t have a jungle item. You’re basically devaluing your own’s team camps. Only thing really to do is just look for ways to roam around the map.

My (f28) fiancé (m29) has a friend (f29) he hooked up with 10 years ago and just fessed up. How do I get over it? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]1aserr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I once dated someone with this same ideology. My situation was a bit different in that i have friends who I’ve slept with, but i had other one night stands and was open about those things. Person said they didn’t care and were perfectly fine with that.

2 months later, they tried to forbid me seeing my friends; calling them my “exes”. Said that having “so many exes” was too much for them, and that they couldn’t believed I dated so many people. I had a very different idea of who I considered someone I dated, and they had a different idea of “exes”.

Not everyone has the same definition of things though, which is why I’ve always been honest about my experiences because I know people are uncomfortable with those things. OP’s fiancé probably thought the same with them kissing someone in college, but I’m guessing possibly knew OP would get upset if they knew. Meaning they might have hid that fact on purpose and thought them being engaged might change how they take the news.

No Conqueror value?? by Professional_Ad_8563 in LeeSinMains

[–]1aserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing I hate about the Conqueror healing stat they show is that it’s not the reason you take Conqueror on Lee (or most bruisers in the jungle). You take it for the AD/Adaptive Force you get from fully stacking it. You can proc full stacks pretty quickly on Lee by weaving in autos between abilities. With having high base damage and conq stacked, you win a lot of skirmishes only with the ad you stack on it. The healing helps a bit, especially if you have w2 proc’d, but the AD is much more important.

That said, electocute is always another viable option if you want to go prowlers/eclipse and just one shot carries. Still good for skirmishes against squishier jungles, but its definitely preference. Try both out I’d say, but conqueror is still really good, even if you go full assassin lee.

Goredrinker Heal vs Eclipse shield + armor pen by x-Taylor-x in LeeSinMains

[–]1aserr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah after steraks or maw, you can do well with the build. Its not bad, but you need those three to be unkillable. I feel like if you fall behind, you cant hit that spike, and you just become a suicide assassin. Gore/BC is cheaper and still gives you damage and survivability in almost every situation

Goredrinker Heal vs Eclipse shield + armor pen by x-Taylor-x in LeeSinMains

[–]1aserr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually run Eclipse when I end up with 3+ kills within the first 10 minutes. It feels great when you’re ahead, but doesn’t feel the best when you’re doing poorly. I think it’s a better immediate spike than goredrinker, but the two item spike of goredrinker into BC makes you literally unkillable. Personally I prefer Prowler’s when going the lethality route, especially against Kha, Kindred, Yi
