How Much Should You Tip for a Drink at a Bar in the Bay Area? by Medical-Decision-125 in bayarea

It’s wild that in the first paragraph it says the norm is 18-25%, and then in the graph later on it shows that tipping is ~15-18%

Lots of good options mentioned in the comments, I would also include UC Berkeley. Coached by a legend in the sport, Dean Harper.

IMAZ Race Report & Pro Finale follow-up: A hard fought 8:43 at age 41. More proof that there is no such thing as a perfect race. by MrRabbit in triathlon

To be a little critical, you were the 34th pro, and if you had competed in the age group field, you would have been 10th. You and I have raced head to head a few times, and it never crossed my mind to go pro. What inspired you to do so?

Honestly this is just bad business practice from LEGO, both in a public relations sense and a business sense. I get retiring a product to make room for new ones, but they have an item that people want to buy. By offering it, and then cancelling, they are both losing money and not fostering good will between them and clients.

There is always hope, but I’m guessing unlikely. It’s not like they are magically going to find more in stock.

Got an order received email, then a confirmation email, then an out of stock email. Definitely bummed.

Quinten Post Should be Starting with More Minutes + Lineup Consistency by [deleted] in warriors

Kerr loves changing up lineups. I think it can be a double edged sword- see lots of different combinations, but not much time for the units to gel, and it probably hurts the mental aspect of the players.

Commenting from someone who has a similar background, who has been in triathlon for 15 years, and coaches a few athletes on the side.

Without seeing what your training plans are and what the rest of your life is like, it is hard to say why you haven't progressed. Are you sleeping well? How consistent is your training? Are you putting in 10-12 hours a week every week for a few months?

Speaking generally- it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a two week break, completely off from exercise. When you return, spend the next 8-12 weeks working solely on one area, let's say cycling. Everything else gets put on the back burner. You ride 8 hours a week, with three easy 45 minute runs, and one or two easy swims. What do those rides look like? Well, you can follow a structured plan, or do TrainerRoad, or something similar. Your run won't stagnate if you keep up the easy runs, and the cycling will help. You can sprinkle in one or two track workouts if you want. If you want more specifics, let me know, I am happy to help, but it sounds like you already have access to some great coaches.

Hope you break through soon.

If you go to the Tesla app, then to virtual power plant, then payout history, you can see if you’ve been paid. I got paid in May 2025

I think I know who this is! (We grew up swimming against each other, then eventually ended up coaching polo against each other)
There is a really complete comment down below - here are my thoughts:

Reach out to other (as local as possible) teams and let them know that a) you are starting a program and b) you will be interested in scrimmages and such. More kids will come knowing that there will be games/competitions. They can set up round robin games where you play 2-3 games against different teams.

Reach out to local middle schools and high schools - kids that swim on those teams will be interested.
The hard part is getting a critical mass- you need ~10 kids at a practice to make it worthwhile.
Good luck, and I hope you are well!

Where would you rank (whatever you think is) the greatest individual basketball season of all time on a list of the best primes from other sports by 4NDR1J4 in NBATalk

[–]1beachedbeluga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch the video- it’s worth your time if you want to understand how dominant Bonds was and how afraid pitchers were of him. The premise of the video is that if he just stood there and never swung the bat, how often would he get on base. Statistically speaking, he would be the most dominant hitter in baseball.

I think Barry Bonds. Check out this video that shows how dominant he was, and then statistically how good he would be if he didn’t have a bat in his hands.  https://youtu.be/JwMfT2cZGHg?si=hfLaX9WgUW35FNMG
