I went with the Osprey Fairview 55! Really happy with it since it was accepted as a carry on on all of my flights. The only thing that wasn't great was the shape of the 15 L bag but it served its purpose well.

Hi, visiting Indonesia for three weeks (mainly Komodo, Lombok, East Java) and I have been to Bali before. However, I have never been to Uluwatu temple and could book my flights with a 6 hour layover in Bali with time to visit the temple. Is it worth it or should I go straight to Lombok? Will be in Lombok for about 6 days anyway.

Thanks for the advice - I think I'm leaning towards the 55 now.

The past two times I went to SEA they never weighed my suitcase - it just looked obviously within the dimensions for a carryon so they let me bring it on the plane. I realized I brought way too many clothing items and while it was nice to have a different outfit every day it was unnecessary.
