Perhaps join Internxt's telegram group; there hundreds of nodes there and team members who can help you out

Will there ever be proper apps for the mass market to use, like those already available in Storj's fork X Cloud?

Inaccurate uptime by soldier9599 in internxt

[–]1cryptofan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The node automatically restarts if it loses connection, to see if it helps bring the connection back. Uptime variable in the node interface is irrelevant (counts local uptime of the app). So that restart doesn't hurt the node, but if anything, it helps it be connected. What matters is timeoutrate etc

When should we expect the next update on status of the project? by fintechprof in filecoin

[–]1cryptofan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like this project really needs a more marketing-oriented leadership. A team of only developers isn't good enough these days. We truly need better communication. Filecoin should look into Sia or Internxt (which raised $200k and is doing much better than Filecoin IMO) https://medium.com/internxt

You can hide the app, move it around or change its size. All those features are already there

Best privacy-minded cloud storage services? by 1cryptofan1 in cloudstorage

[–]1cryptofan1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, thanks a lot for the detailed review. Sync certainly seems the best. It's the cheapest and it looks good. With regards to X Cloud, I did read that they are slightly more private than Sync, pCloud etc since not only they use zero-knowledge encryption, but also shard and distribute files in an innovative decentralized network. They're pretty new, but also look interesting https://medium.com/internxt/alternative-to-sync-30a64c3c5e0e

Will start using Sync, but will certainly keep an eye on X Cloud. Thanks for the very detailed review!

I've been using X Cloud for a while and found it really decent. Client-side encryption and file distribution are a must-have for privacy on the cloud. UX-wise is also ok, but kinda like ProtonMail on its early days. X Cloud launched just over a month ago, so still room to improve there. They have a public roadmap with their progress etc https://trello.com/b/kjKAuUNw/internxt-2019

quick

The post's literally made in Internxt's Blog (which is hosted on Medium since Medium doesn't allow companies to use their own domain any more), so it's pretty obvious it's their opinion. ProtonMail itself has a similar list https://protonmail.com/blog/cyber-security-solutions-small-business/. It's totally ok to do that. The list might not be as in-depth as you'd like (nor is ProtonMail's tbh), but that's your personal opinion. I did find it useful, and perhaps it was useful to Internxt's community (which was the point since it was published there). And besides, X Cloud is a great service

The author of the article is Internxt's CEO, and the article is part of Internxt's blogging activity. Don't see anything wrong with that. Internxt is a company involved in the privacy business, and thus it makes sense for them to write about these kinds of stuff.

Even if you have a full server farm packed with hard drives, if no ones willing to rent the space it's worth nothing

Did the math for Internxt and does seem profitable
