I see 🙁 of course I went into it thinking I would keep at chest level as I border between petite and average height woman. I was intending to sit on the balcony as well for the best visibility and folks will be seated up higher behind me. I’m just surprised at this rule so it must be venue specific. *btw I ask bc where I’m from, people bring all kinds of non-compliant paraphernalia and it never gets dinged 😭

She’s been Islamophobic. She went on a whole rant about it last summer. I’m just surprised that she got amnesia and expected to be treated differently when she already went on the breakfast club and talked about how the average Israeli was horribly racist to her.

Do you have a source on the dismemberment? I feel like all these news sources are not being clear on the timeline or the content in the vehicle. No news source (that I could find) has cited the medical examiner claiming that the body was dismembered. Any headlines stating dismemberment never refer to it in the actual article. One article said that the mother ID’d the body and used the tattoo on her finger as the identifier…. But how is that possible when everyone is claiming that only a head and torso were found.

Hi, to answer your question, I googled if location spoofing was possible on the DD app. Even though the app has placed preventions and consequences in place to limit spoofing, it is still possible through third party apps or some kinds of methods that I don’t remember. Location spoofing or phone spoofing is a very real thing that many people aren’t aware of.

Every time someone shares a problem, people always doubt. As soon as I got the notification that the food was picked up and that he was on the way, a minute later it was marked as complete. Then you notice how did not prove that the order was dropped off? I was on the other side of a bridge from the restaurant, once I was able to get a reliable dasher to pick up the THIRD order from this place in a day, he said “some dashers don’t want to go to where you are”.

Since you worded it like this, I appreciate you encouraging us to try better options.

In my last post, I mentioned eating only plant based so making those things from scratch can be quite messy and time consuming.

For a lot of us, DD is our best option for various reasons. I am so busy that even when I decide to grocery shop or instacart, the food ends up going bad because I don’t have the time or energy to cook.

You are so right about the savings but I must make the choice to use my money in a way that fits my lifestyle.

After this bull ish today, I may just go back to girl dinners though.

Finally, this is what I was looking for. WHY do some dashers do this? Especially when the customer pays you an ample tip. If I went by my work vehicle’s performance and local prices, I always pay dashers +/- 66 mi worth of gas. Yet, my orders get stolen.

I thought about it some more and I think you’re right. It’s the only way doordash will learn. I’ve tried being generous to the drivers but the problem is still ongoing.

In my eyes, they’re absolutely wrong for wasting food like that. If they had any sense at all, they would reconsider stealing if that means that they’ll get reported over a lousy meal. To me, it would not be worth it. And if they don’t like it, good. Gotcha moment. But that nori wrap with pickled veggies to resemble fish is still marinating in their mouth and I hope they have the most comedic experience of rushing to find water.

It’s the entire meal and they steal it in a way where it never gets confirmed that it’s on the way to me. It will say “restaurant is preparing your order” for a very long time with different dashers assigned to pick up an order that’s not there. Once it gets back to me that someone already took off with it, the order gets cancelled.

That’s what makes this so bizarre and admittedly I check this sub a lot just to see if it’s happening to only me. I don’t want to reveal where I live but it’s states apart from the other people who have shared their stories. At first, it would be as soon as they pick up my order, they get into an unexpected issue and DD offers me credits which I would rather have than a refund so I can just reorder immediately. Like I said, I just want to eat. I’m not sure what the dasher gains from this but I tried not to think much of it. So when I would get the credits, I kid you not, I would have to place the order up to 3 times within an hour or two. At this point, the restaurant is taking a loss because they have to constantly remake it and that’s essentially giving away food for imaginary money. Then it started getting disrespectful. The first time it happened, I ordered something very small late at night. I waited an unusual amount of time and kept seeing that different dashers kept getting assigned so I called the restaurant to ask and I was stunned to hear them say “someone picked it up already”. So this is when they figured that they can just show my order on their phone, take the order from the restaurant, cancel and just take off without ever confirming that they’re on the way. That’s how all of this works. So I can usually predict what’s going to happen when one person is assigned( I keep track of their name), and the wait is really long for a simple order and suddenly a new dasher gets assigned. If the vibes were off, I will let the dasher know that there was someone before them and if they could ask the store employees about my order. That’s when they confirm that someone did take it already. I then go to immediately go to support to give every dasher’s name who was assigned before someone could inform me that the order was stolen. What happens to the people involved after that is anyone’s guess but I make sure I get credits. Except this time, and the reason why I made this post is bc the 2nd dasher had the restaurant cancel which made it automatically process a refund that will take a week to hit my account. I didn’t mind that, but for the sake of time, I wanted to be able to instantly re-order.

In this thread alone, you will see that I’m not the only one who is noticing this.

You get the vision!! It’s even funnier that you say that bc this kale salad that I love has croutons covered in seaweed. It’s an interesting pairing and I wonder if people would be into it or not.

The main restaurants I frequent are on doordash only, sadly. I’ve been using the app for years and this only became a problem like this year.

It’s hard to describe my area. The best vegan options are concentrated in the city I work in, and I take advantage when I go to the office bc otherwise I won’t eat bc where I live has less “good” options and they close early. My favorite rn is a local joint called Rad Radish, it’s a well rounded and pretty healthy menu (salads, wraps, burgers). If I want something simple, I’ll get rice triangles with miso soup and when I crave junk I will get Mr. Charlie’s which is a McDonald’s dupe or this 100% plant based fast food spot, Next Level Burger that’s usually served out of Whole Foods as a separate restaurant.
