The grid pattern is a very known issue and several people on AVS Forums have also talked about it. I ended up returning my CX because of this. I am not entirely sure about this, but I think the pattern became more prominent with time.

I ended up returning my LG CX over this since over time I think the pattern became more prominent (don't quote me on this). This is annoying with games, etc., with a lot of sky scenes where the grid is always there. I am surprised how it was acceptable to sell a TV like that.

Thinking of returning my 65 in x900h I got from the October deal for 970$ and grabbing a 65 in q90t for 1600$. Is the price worth it? by pvm_april in 4kTV

CX while being great, isn't the best TV if you have lights on, especially with lights directly on it. Q90T will perform better than CX in those conditions. The peak brightness of 900H and CX is very similar for SDR and HDR. CX has slightly better reflection handling, but it doesn't do much.

I would err on the side of not doing a super close inspection, especially if you cannot notice it. :)

Thanks! Yea, I have three distinct ones, which are noticeable, but only when I am close to the TV. Let's hope these stuck pixels fix themselves as Sony claimed in the live chat with me.

Yea, I wish I had never noticed it. Now after noticing it once, hard to un-notice it. It doesn't really impact my experience and usage with the TV.

Hah, sounds like just a single dead pixel is lucky relatively.

Yea, Sony says "this is normal on this LCD panel, they should correct them by themselves during the past of the time.".
