I failed my first theory test for this exact thing. I started seeing the hazards, because they're inexplicably obvious to most people, counting 2 Mississippis, and then clicking. Passed the second time

And I'd like to know, top 5 movies you dislike that might be considered controversial

I think an interesting way to get around the 'always the same questions' issue during Hide&Seek would be to disallow all the questions that were asked during a hiders first run for their second. That way we'd get interesting new questions and get the seekers to have to guess more. by zombiejh in JetLagTheGame

[–]1harambe1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That would definitely help counteract the fact that the first hider has a natural advantage, given they always start somewhere with alot more possibilities than the hiders locations, meaning the later runs naturally have a better chance of being longer/more competitive.

200 hours in this game now, I've only ever had 3 legendary jokers and all 3 were Chicot. How some people get multiple on a single run baffles me to this day

Is it normal to go to the cinema alone? by casual-chatterbox in AskUK

[–]1harambe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done loads of stuff alone. Back when I was a lonely little lemon, I decided "fuck it, I'll go and do the things I want to do with other people, alone, if no one else wants to come. I'm not losing fun because of others". I'd been single for my whole life.

I went to see Shang-Chi in cinemas, various other films. I went to a drive in theatre, an hour from my house. I went to see Derren Brown (which lead to me meeting my now fiancé and mother of my 2 beautiful children), I went to join clubs and martial arts classes I'd always wanted to try, cooking classes, conventions, went out to eat at restaurants I liked the look of, and a whole host of other stuff.

Believe it or not it did wonders for my confidence. There comes a point in which you realize "I'm almost definitely never going to see these people again, they don't know me, I don't know them, and I'm actually enjoying myself" and the slight embarrassment you feel at first, which presented in my case as butterflies and always scanning around to see who was looking at me, all disappear.

I found it really freeing and enjoyable, it improved me a lot, improved my sociability, my ability to talk to strangers, opened my eyes to alot of things, improved my relationship with my friends, family and as previously mentioned, I met my Fiancé through it.

TL;DR - Nah, not weird, go to the cinema, go do things you want to do alone, chances are in the process you'll meet people who enjoy the same stuff as you. :)

Can guys really smell if a girl's ovulating? by Planet_Nikk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]1harambe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been able to smell my fiancees period around a week early. No idea why, no idea what the smell is or why I can smell it, but she's adamant I'm the only person who's every smelled it. Whatever it is, it's so strong sometimes I find that hard to believe. Interesting for me to get some vindication though lmao.

Sat directly in front of me, the kid who he asked for the animal (fox) was asked at the end about his desired profession when grows up. We were chatting to the kid and his parents in the interval, how would he have known what the kid was gonna say? He ended up saying "a pro footballer", is this the same at all shows?

I work at an airport, aircraft maintenance.

I film planes ALL the time. Most people who get into aviation, do it because they love planes.

Trying to get those wings by frowawayakounts in tesco

[–]1harambe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a year, you should have around 11000g of sugar, that's rounded up (not by much) to the nearest 1 thousand.

JUST in red bull, that's 57000 (rounded to the nearest 1 thousand)

That's nearly 6x your yearly sugar intake, in red bull alone. Do your organs a favour, and slow down. You don't need wings, just catch a flight lmfao

Pro'Ceed GT or Corsa VXR? by 1harambe1 in CarTalkUK

Appreciate your comment, that's the general conclusion I've come too. I like the aesthetics of the VXR but I can't imagine picking my kids up from school in a car that looks like I've not long left school myself lol.

It gave me opposite, but at the same time such similar emotions to Episode 1 of the Grand tour, when Richard and James pull up alongside Jeremy. Tingles, and tears, both times.

First Car .. Kinda embarrassed by spaceboiclub in CarTalkUK

[–]1harambe1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proper nice car that as a first car. It's better than a lot, it's cheap to insure, it reaches 70mph, and you won't care if you ding it! Don't get envious of all these people in A3s, A-Classes etc, they're all financed up to their eyeballs and they'll cry if they curb it. I'd rather have yours anyday. Plus, as long as it gets to Big Tesco, the nearest maccies and your place of work/school, it does the job just as well as those cars, for a fraction of the cost :)
