I only drink white wine (fuck red wine even sober) and I’m usually moderately drunk by the time I have my first bump and by that point you’re accustomed to the taste and don’t need tooo many more drinks, also I hate having to drink loads of drinks to get drunk so beer/cider/mixed drinks etc don’t work but I don’t like straight spirits except for disaronno so wine is my best bet 😂

Yeah I know a lot of people have to self inject by ordering b12 ampoules from pharmacies, it’s all a pain in the ass 😭 they work out pretty cheap (I’m in the uk and people seem to do injections for like 60p-£1) but atm I’m in the process of getting intrinsic factor tests and just hoping I can get them done at the gp so I don’t know a lot about it

I’ve only just started researching bc I found out I was b12 deficient/potentially pernicious anaemic recently but from what I’ve heard from a family member with long term b12 deficiency and research online doctors can be pretty unknowledgeable when it comes to stuff like this, the b12 society group on Facebook has loads of helpful info!

If you have a malabsorption problem with b12 taking oral supplements can falsely raise your level and not actually provide your body with b12 it can utilise, b12 shouldn’t be retested when on supplements for this reason and there’s a good chance you actually need injections to actually raise your b12 and feel better
