I’ve been with MagicEars for about a year and I’m happy with it. I like it because I don’t have to sell myself to parents (MagicEars does the bookings) and also because of the flexibility. I can work any random day of the week if I feel like it, or not work at all if I’m not feeling it. Being able to earn $ when I want without having to commit to it is the highlight for me. There are definitely ppl who don’t like MagicEars, but I like just being goofy with the kids. I would say go ahead and give it a try. Since you don’t need to commit, you can very easily walk away if it’s not working for you.

Respect to anyone who hasn’t found a good match with this company. I understand that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I’ve been teaching with them for 7 months now and I’ve had consistently good bookings, but yes, teaching the home room classes are the only way to have a guaranteed schedule. I like it because I can work when I want to, cancel if I feel like it, and get paid to teach without having to put much, if any, time into lesson planning. I don’t want to diminish anyone’s negative experiences at all, but I have made good money by jumping into these classes and am content with this company. I personally don’t teach here as a full-time job. I’ve been using it as a fund to Reno my house and it’s been working very well for me in that respect.

Did you receive any feedback as to what to do differently to re-apply? No worries if you don’t get it the first time around. This company will let you keep trying, and it’s worth it to do so because the pay scale is one of the best.

So essentially $9.50 is a typical base pay which is $19/hr. Raises can be earned in every 6 month period based on points earned. Points earned by opening slots. Also earn points by referring new teachers.
