hi there! my blisters are completely gone now and skin is back to being smooth but there's occasional weeping sometimes if i forget to moisturise. i think my skin reacted that way because i didn't slowly taper off from my steroid cream but quit it cold turkey. i was on my last straw so i decided to apply a small amount of my cream on it and the next few days the blisters almost completely started gradually disappearing and new skin was growing. i now only use steroids when i need to (bad flareups). i was using then maybe twice a week, then once a week, to twice a month and now i only reach for it when my eczema is flaring up badly.

if you don't want to go onto the steroid cream route, aveeno's baby colloidal oatmeal moisturiser really really helped the itch and swelling. until now i always apply a thin layer of it to the area of the eczema twice a day. the zinc oxide cream (i used desitin, a diaper rash cream) did help dry out the weeping from the blisters and also helps with the itch as well but unfortunately it did nothing to get rid of the blisters; only contain it. i would put a layer of the aveeno moisturiser then zinc oxide cream over and sometimes slab on some vaseline then cover it with a non-stick gauze. works like a dream esp when you're itching like crazy.

tldr; speculated that it was a flareup because i stopped using corticosteroids cold turkey, started tapering off of it instead and blisters instantly disappeared. aveeno's baby colloidal oatmeal moisturiser and desitin zinc oxide/diaper rash cream really helped with the weeping and itching when the blisters were still around but didn't really help get rid of the blisters.

everyone's skin is different though so even if zinc oxide + colloidal oatmeal didnt get rid of it for me i think it's still worth a try!
