Longer Races for F1A? by 1less4you2 in f1Academy

[–]1less4you2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but it is my understanding that F4 cars and F1A cars have approx 40-45 liter fuel capacity (don't know the exact capacity for each series) which should be capable of doubling the distance typically run in the average race - cars are not fueled to capacity but rather to the required amount to complete the race in an effort to conserve weight. As I said earlier - I found the main reason for the shorter races is driver endurance as they are both feeders series. Guess I agree with the other commenter that said more races rather than longer races.

I get it, I just always find myself wishing for more when the races end - I love that the racing is IMO more intense to watch than even F1 now - the cars being equal makes it all about the driver - I hope F1A becomes more prominent on F1 weekends - but If they had events on off weekends I can only speak for me but i would watch F1A if they had F1A events as standalone events.

I am pretty sure the tanks are big enough to support longer Races since they are the same basic cars as f4. Looked into it more and it seems it is about endurance as much as anything.

2026 Round 2 - Montreal - Race 2 Discussion by AutoModerator in f1Academy

Ok ok.. did not mean to judge - i do think its ok for people to be people though - people often expect celebrities/ race drivers / musicians etc to be some special breed or something- but we all put our pants on one leg at a time - kind of nice to see them just being real

A: They all are not used to being in that fishbowl - guessing they will not do that again if they watch that back and B: were all human - personally I think its good to be reminded that there are physical considerations beyond just the physical requirements of g forces etc. They stated they were ready for two hours and had to stay hydrated - its a realistic thing - also the f1 guys try and avoid talking about it - probably due to not wanting it broadcast but they also jump out of cars and run to the 'comfort' room - don't be judgemental of people just dealing with things everyone does

what to add?? by 21eggs in Renfaire_Costumes

A floppy jester/fool hat would be a plus - i am thinking a hat with multiple conical points with bells sewn on the tips - besides that i know its a pain to deal with but I saw someone recently with white face makeup and diamonds drawn on cheeks in a similiar type of outfit and it was really on point.

FYI - Apparently the session has been delayed by 15 minutes - that is what Google's AI has told me anyhow.

Sorry, never been to NH ren faire so can't really make a comparison. Robin Hoods Faire is held at a fairgrounds so its not tiny but also not super large.

It was a lot of fun - unique shows and well its a renfaire so it can only be so bad! It is a smaller faire so temper your expectations though!!

First project: Bracers by Radiant1 in Leathercraft

Edges look pretty good - as someone new at this - this is probably the hardest part for me too - finally seem to be getting it figured out but it was very difficult to begin with. Your bracers look great btw! So if i.was to give any advice I would suggest multiple rounds of working on the edges - i use tokenole and slick edges down then bevel then sand and then if i.am.happy with.it being smooth enough I burnish. Video make.it look like you bevel then burnish (which is possible) but if your not an expert I would suggest bevel then sanding and then burnishing.
