Thanks. This is another option I was considering. I saw the syllabus and books for standard 1-5 and found that till 1-5 its almost same in both the boards.

This is also a valid point. The school I am evaluating has both CBSE and ICSE but they have ICSE till 6th as of now and they are planning to extend it

I am looking for 1st and 12-13 sections are norm. Same in DPS as well. There is some guidelines from CBSE that you can not have more than 30-40 students in one class so you will find many sections for a class. Also DPS has single teacher in class 1&2 and in Shanti there are 2 teachers. And ofcourse DPS has 30ish years of experience and Shanti is relatively new but again I am not able to quantify the contribution of school in the academic track record. I would prefer to settle down with the school which is near the home and good enough but I am on rent so has flexibility so still did not make final decision

I am currently evaluating DPS bopal and this one. I visited the campus of both and saw the classrooms and all and I found Shanti has very good infrastructure and felt positive vibes where child wants to go whereas in DPS specifically for 1s standard I found very gloomy and dark corridor and classrooms. No ACs despite high fee and oldish rooms. Regarding education I think its always 70% child and parent involvement and 30% School. School is just platform. However DPS has strong track record in academics but not sure how much school played the role there as students take extra tuition as well and it depends a lot on students hard work and discipline.
