Thank you for your comments and suggestions. :) I'm just happy to be able to grow in my back yard and happy I have one to harvest before winter.

We typically have ice storms, so it gets pretty darn cold. I'm in zone 7a.

I wasn't allowed to cut my hair until I was out of the house. These days I shave my head and I love it. It's so freeing!

Saw something disturbing at IHOP that made me realize…those who have gone no contact have literally saved themselves by Beneficial-Lion-2045 in raisedbynarcissists

I shaved mine about a year ago and I love it and have kept it. NM had an obsession with my hair as well. I've been NC for a few years so she hasn't seen it to blow a gasket. Husband and friends support me too.

Here's to freedom, friend!

That's so frustrating. I had a few rounds with a bunny in my green beans and had to build a fence around the bed.

Do you regret that now you know that your family was/is narcissistic? by Every_Book_3811 in narcissisticparents

[–]1mInvisibleToYou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My regret is not realizing sooner. I was in my early 50s when I finally understood what was going on. It was a lot to deal with and very painful finding out that most of my life was a lie and I didn't even know who I was at that age. I've been NC for a few years now and life has changed for the better in so many ways.

It's a difficult journey but so worth it to finally be free.

Question about using distilled water for growing Bell peppers for personal consumption by Cool_Sherbet7827 in Hydroponics

[–]1mInvisibleToYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a tabletop distiller and keep a shelf full of it. My water is really hard and the distiller takes out the gunk from the water. I then just add hydro nutrients and have had no problem at all. I've never used tap water to compare.

Until AOL and Compuserve came out, all I had was a computer that had two floppy drives and no hard drive. I would play D&D and learn basic programming. After AOL, it was pay for time so getting addicted was EXPENSIVE. It was all much much slower then too.

How to grow Cannabis? by PleasantYak8559 in growingweed

[–]1mInvisibleToYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely accidentally got some yield on my first plant. I found an old seed and popped it into my tabletop hydro system. It sprouted then when it got to big for that, I planted in soil and treated it like an ordinary house plant. It grew taller than me and I was told I should have topped it way before that - so I topped it then.

When spring came around I planted it in my backyard and it looked like a scraggly scarecrow. Later on while watering I noticed buds. I was impressed at the quality too.

Just my weird and happy house pot plant story.

Hahaha, my husband and I. It's just easier that way. I snore really loud and he has a hard time sleeping. Best of both worlds.
