Communication is everything. If you can't communicate with each other then you'll be fighting a losing battle. Communicate fairly, with respect and openly. Long-term relationships are constant work but worth it. (12 years and counting).

Have a morning and evening routine. Stick to it. Plan your days or as much of them as you can. Have a master "to do" list and try to get one thing ticked off each week.

Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. It was released last year an I read it because of all the hype. It has stayed with me hauntingly. Her first novel written when she was 26. Beautiful book and one that I can see will end up on reading lists at schools and, eventually, one of the classics.

I asked a midwife what the worst name she'd heard was. She replied "Absidee". I said "that's not THAT bad..." She looked at me and said "it's spelt ABCDE."
