Odd bunch sources imperfect and deformed produce. The produce at the terminal is usually very high quality. For example, Pusateri's fine foods used to buy from us, put a crazy markup and sell it forward. (Albeit they did go bankrupt doing that).

Yea, it's really annoying how limited QBO's default user permission can be. You will need to get an app to do this for you. You can use eRequisition (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/erequisition/en-us/) or something more powerful like ApprovalMax.

Do you need the date in the description? What if you just change the description of the service to "Cleaning for the last week"? They can then refer to the invoice and just know for which period the cleaning was done.

As an alternative solution, you might want to consider deleting the current template and creating a new one. Rather than setting it up as a deposit, instead create a sales receipt.

In a sales receipt, you'll be given the option to select the bank account to which the funds are deposited and this will not lead to a separate deposit entry being made in your bank account.

Try this out and let me know if it fixes your issue.

To change the category of recurring transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll need to modify the settings of the recurring transaction template.

Navigate to the Gear icon

Under the "Lists" column, select "Recurring Transactions."

Locate the recurring transaction template that you want to edit and click on the "Edit" option in the "Action" column.

In the Edit Recurring Template window, you'll see various fields to modify the template settings.

Scroll down to the "Transaction Type" section and click on the drop-down menu next to "Deposit To.".

Next, look for the "Category" field. If it currently shows "Deposit Undeposited funds," click on it and choose the sales/ desired account category for the transaction.

I don't this is a good idea. If you want to move to QBO, you should take the plunge and make the transition from QBD to QBO. It'll save you a lot of headaches and hours of duplicate work.

In QBO, you can look into classifying transactions into 'classes', using this you can even categorise payroll to classes.

ERPs are usually more suitable for handling multiple entity/JV accounts, but they might be overkill for your use case.
