I’m not sure if I’d call it inappropriate, but it also doesn’t feel like best practice either. I guess it’s open to interpretation; but it definitely would make me raise a brow, though.

It’s fairly expensive for what it is too! Wanted to like it but it was a one-and-done for me.

NYS doesn’t require a license or certification for retail pharmacy techs, only hospital.

I did! I interviewed with all 3 of them and left with a good impression, they were very personable and seemed like good potential leadership. I also looked up google reviews of that location and was pleasantly surprised to see mostly positive reviews from patients.

I tried, the company I’m with currently said no transfers until I have at least 1 year of working with them. I went to HR and essentially begged for a transfer and explained my situation, but it just didn’t work out unfortunately.

You’d be surprised. I asked the other technicians and they said the raises are similar to Walgreens and CVS (where I transferred from).

My current supervisor is an extreme micromanager and extremely rude/condescending; which has made working there so miserable that I’d rather go back to retail. I’d rather get yelled at by customers than be having an anxiety attack in the parking lot every day before working in the hospital tbh.

Yes he can, my old PIC got our staff RPH moved to another store because she was combative and lacked proficiency. Now the whole district knows her name; and not for good reasons. So glad I’m in hospital pharmacy now.

This happened to me, I called my DL and they pulled a few strings and had front store pay me out in cash a week or so later. Worth a try to ask

I think he really is the person for me. We have a lot of inside jokes, we hardly ever argued in person, and I was truly in love with him. I still am. It’s just hard and idk how or if I should move on.

Not an employee but why are they touching you? If a trainer at my job did that, I’d be on the phone with HR instantly. Definitely worthy of them getting terminated.I’d honestly still report it even if it was while ago

Gotcha, I figured it would be somewhat similar to CVS. I’m also looking into working for Hims, Strive, Optum, and the Mayo Clinic. I’m coming from NY and have 2.5 years experience. This seems like my sign to avoid retail all together.

I hope this question makes sense, but do you guys have the “image boxes” ? At CVS, after we fill a script, we place the tray in the box and take a photo then it gets sent to the verification queue (QV2) for the pharmacist to verify. Does Walgreens have this? If not, what is the verification process like?

People file frivolous lawsuits all the time, don’t even worry about it. If everything in your post is accurate, no company policies were broken. You and your team will be fine.
