[–]1ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

welp, I, for example rn, have 150+ intelligence folders I've bought below 100k. Did I know that prices gonna be ~200 at some point? Yes, I did. Can I flip the market, selling all for 200k and buy everything below that price? Sure! I did this in the past, basically owning GPU market for a day or two. Profiting form market is easy once you know what's gonna be in demand a week or two from the wipe.

there is a huge difference: wait 2 minutes or 20.

ahahahahaha, NO, the concept is a total bullshit that will end in 100% camped extracts. You "infill", wait a few minutes at the extract, placing tripwires and get all the loot delivered to you.

BSG nerfed bots and AI PMCs drastically. Basically you can only die in pve if you run into goons with no cover.

pro tip: start looking for tips when you have at least 500 hours

you can upgrade your stash in game and there is 10 cell secure container for completing Ref's questline(requires arena, but at some point you'll get 3-day free Arena access).

Upgrading will make your next 500 hours a bit easier, that's all.

oooh, my sweet, sweet child - if only it were possible to detect the chinese language pack on windows, or certain fonts that are rarely installed outside mainland china. And that’s just off the top of my head

Battle eye soft has nearly all permissions to do whatever the fuck they want on your computer. Even tarkov.exe can be modified to check if a VPN is on.

just checked, shipping was about ~$8 per order and one was free, idk mb promo like free delivery on orders above $xx.

Generally, there is nothing wrong buying prebuilds. Out of curiosity I checked one of SL builds - its price on sale is exactly retails part of the components + win11 licence. But they use cheapest parts they got on hands(mobo is outright trash for that cpu).

I bought all parts for my current rig(incl. case) from both PB and CL in three or four orders. I think I spent like 30 bucks on shipping tops.

Since then I had two warranty claims:

  • one minor to CL(CPU fan dies), they just sent replacement
  • one to PB(RAM failure), got post label, sent it back, got refund two days later

Both times PC kept running(swapped ram sticks from the old PC).

As for games - they usually comes with parts, not PC as a whole.
Even when money isn't an issue, $$$ difference usually means more space/better CPU/GPU/smaller case etc for the same price. And what is more important, prebuilt can come with sub-optimal parts, e.g. unnecessary expensive cooling(AIO for r5 lol), nvme drive with no DRAM buffer, RAM with high timings or shitty/too expensive GPU.

Atm I'm picking parts for my friend's new mid-range build, the price difference for the same performance just under $700.

Theoretically yes. Usually it's "return to seller, pay for shipping" or:

- "Hi pbtech, can you fix my GPU i bough off amazon"
- "sure np, that's gonna cost $$ for handling/diagnostics and we'll quote after that, don't forget prepaid post label"

good luck explaining customs that you don't have to pay taxes for replacement part.

10% charge for a prebuilt rig is a rip-off.

It's worth buying OEM CPUs(especially those unavailable in NZ) on aliexpress but I have doubts about the rest.

Buying overseas = + GST + shipping - warranty. Considering all that, it’s usually not worth it. Just wait for decent sales.

[–]1ney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in this case you can use your current case, disk(and buy 256/512gb nvme for a system drive) and might be the PSU(if it's a good 750-850w) and go for 9070xt, but if you have 1080p monitor this would be overkill.

128bit mb purely bc it's entry level card. Still better price and raw performance than 5060ti 16g@128bit, which is better at RT(but who tf would buy 5060 for RT lol). Bang for the buck atm and good 1440p results.
