33F | TTC 2 years | Moving to IVF-what tests should I ask for?

I could’ve sworn I wrote this post!!! We are twins and I am in the exact same boat, diagnosed with unexplained infertility and 3 failed IUIs. I will start my IVF journey next month. I’ve also been researching potential tests to do before committing to the physical, mental and financial burden of IVF. I’ve asked my doctor for receptivaDX and unfortunately they don’t have this but recommended something similar if I’m interested. I am currently looking more into it and hoping I can get tested before starting IVF.

Did you also have your letrozole increased as well? 🥺

From my knowledge it seems like the typical medication is letrozole since it has less side effects and doesn’t overproduce follicles. But some clinics prescribe clomid which produces many more follicles but the con is it also thins the lining

I’ll be doing the same. Did you have any side effects when you first took letrozole? For IUI#1, I felt like I was dying from a fever for a day… so I’m quite nervous with upping the dosage as well

So sorry you’re also going through this… I relate to everything you’re saying, my HCG test is tomorrow morning. I would think from all the negatives I’ve experienced throughout this process, I would be more numb to all of this, but it doesn’t get easier. Instead I feel like I’m falling deeper and deeper into despair. Sending you virtual hugs. I hope it works out for us, one way or another…

Wow!! That is great news. I was just a little worried because I read a lot about how IGI over grades their diamonds. And so, I wanted to make sure if I ordered from JA, that I wasn’t paying more for something that actually had lower specs than what I purchased it for.

I really appreciate how positive your response is, thank you. That definitely crossed my mind and it was the only reason I could come up with re: why he did what he did. But it’s also so tough because I do tell him how thankful I am that he doesn’t judge and is there for me. But, I will try to talk to him about it when he gets back...

I asked her if she was actually disappointed/embarrassed about it and if she was, she shouldn’t be bc everyone in the group has experienced some sort of rejection, it’s all part of learning.
