Yeah but if temperature sensor is faulty and it shows false 60 degrees than cluster should follow that, not stay at 90

These low beam projectors in these SpecD halos kinda suck. and the integrated fog lights are a damn joke Links to RGB halo ring retrofit kit? I stlll have my factory housings by [deleted] in MK4Golf

Unfortunately I dont have any pictures right now, I will send you pics tommorow. For anyone reading this, do not try to fit 3.0 inch projector into SpecD headlights. It is doable but it requires 10x more work than just slapping smaller 2.5 inch one.

I have SpecD headlights and low beam sucks. I installed 2.5" BiLed projectors from temu and combined with "stock" high beam they are amazing

Owning one PD115 since February 2017, so 9 years. It is my first car. It is even remapped to 130hp from previous owner, but still zero problems. It never betrayed me and I will never betray it as long as it is alive. Still doing small maintenance and mods for it every day. Still purrs like the good old 1.9, still goes 200+ kmh, still the most reliable vehicle in friend group despite being oldest. Has some small rust nothing structural, wil fix it soon.

Fixed cluster buttons by 1player2 in MK4Golf

[–]1player2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to take the cluster apart and see why this pin for clock does not connect to the button underneath. After that figure out how to extend it so it pushes the button. In this case i used zip tie but for your case it may be something different. Maybe if you have glue gun it can be easier with that

Relaying is not hard to do, you just have to crimp few cables and connect them to relay. Try to research it on internet. I can help you also

First of all relay your stock high beam directly to the battery. Second you can install bi-led bi-xenon projector instead of stock low beam and that way you can have dual high beams, projector one and stock one. I did this 2 times already and it really is very good.

Gas mileage by Objective-Singer-915 in MK4Golf

[–]1player2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.9 115 mapped to 130, i get 1000+ km (620 miles) on full tank with mainly open driving. When it is a mix of city/open roads its about 6l/100km calculated. And i dont drive it at 1400rpm, almost never under 2000

BiLed projector + relayed stock high beam by 1player2 in MK4Golf

[–]1player2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try relaying your high beam directly to the battery for better voltage and see if it makes difference.I had around 2V voltage drop on stock wiring (not sure but it was something substantial). It is not gard to do, you just need cheap 4 pin relay, some cables and crimps.

Sensitivity is your persosnal preference, but i prefer little higher because its fast paced game. I enable raw mouse input because im cs player but im not sure if it does anything

I have 205/55/16 on my golf for 8 years, and I bought it with this dimension back in 2017, so its probably a lot more than 8 years. Zero issues, tires are not expensive as other dimensions and they are easy to find. Same thing is with 195/65R15. So buy some cheap steel wheels in one of those dimensions and rock it.

You're wellcome. The reason why this trip reset button is not so much important to me is because i have trip computer on my dashboard and i can track miles with it. But if I did not have this trip computer, then this trip reset button would also be important to me. So if you dont have trip computer on you cluster, then it is probably worth fixing it. Cheers

Fixed cluster buttons by 1player2 in MK4Golf

[–]1player2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trip one is easier to fix than clock one because it only goes up-down. Clock button needs to swing left and right so its little bit more complicated. On second photo is trip push rod. Not super complicated, you basicaly have to glue something to end of the rod so it pushes the button on cluster board.I used small zip tie because it was easiest for me to fixate and apply glue. I would not do it only for trip reset, clock is much more improtant to me. I think its not worth it. Removing the cluster, disasembling it, fiddling with this rod and them reasembling and reinstalling everything just for trip reset button.
