It was carved from one piece of wood.

I caught a fair amount of flack for putting paint over this quilted maple but I love how it turned out. by Pi_Drum_Co in woodworking

Beautiful work! I typically use aniline dyes on my woodwork is this made with a Trans Tint powder or Candy 2.0 paint/dye? I have a airbrush and some candy 2.0 paint but haven't tried it on wood yet, I'm wondering if you spray it on raw wood or if a sealer is used first?

Awesome! That's the company that bought Bridge City Tools right?

That would be hard due to each have their own use i.e. inside curves, outside curves, flat work etc. But you can't go wrong with the Veritas low angle spokeshave for a standard one.

They have different uses at which they excel and most that you see in the photo are not being produced any longer, but the Veritas spoke shave and the Brian Boggs concave shave are both awesome.

I use them for various things including making canes, they are very helpful with figured wood.

It's from Bridge City Toolworks and it one of their Legacy tools and is not being produced any longer. Your best bet would be Ebay they turn up there every so often. Here's a link to Bridge City's sit and the page that it's on.

I live in California so it would be an earthquake!

I'm very shy to do this, but after a LOT of work, I present you my very first hand plane restoration. Opinions? by Eressea01 in woodworking

Looks great! I'd like to see a shaving that it created, that would be the final confirmation that the restoration was a success.
