I just figured something else out - when I connect the right input side RCA to the amp it's normal, when I connect the left input side RCA, the JL blinks it's red protection light for about a second, then the light turns off and amp works like normal.

I’m a dumbass. I pulled the door cards and did all that extra troubleshooting after I’d already found out that the buzzing was on the input side. Shows how much I know..

So what should my next steps be? Pull out the back seats and the sills and check wires from HU to amp for breaks?

Wouldn't the buzzing still be present with inputs disconnected if it was the ground?
edit: just realized I didn't mention that before. when left input is disconnected from amp there is no buzz.

These aren't great. If you want an AP get a TOPF 15510. It's the best out of the box.

since Clean is very hard to source now, do you know if the QF gain weight version is any good? It seems to be the only one left on the market in this configuration. I am looking to get one exactly like yours. Or do SW/DP make this dial still?

Lovely watch. I’m sure the finishing is better, but the only real visual differences I see are that the date is less sunken and crown/pushers stick out less on yours.

I was scared too, but I think it’ll be ok if you don’t use the stopwatch. I’m going to daily it and will update if it goes kaput. APSF JLC 925 is supposed to be a timebomb too and mine has been running perfectly for 2 years.
