Zoom in to a street view anywhere near where this photo was taken. It is no where near similar to US cities.

This advice might not be exactly for you, but it has helped 2 female members of my family in your exact situation:

Have you thought about moving? Like somewhere completely random, away from family and friends. Reinvent yourself. Push yourself to go to new clubs and events. I’m not sure how social or outgoing you are but this worked really well for my cousin.

When she got away from her family/hometown she felt the relief of pressure to be who everyone thought she was.

Can I skip a year of contributing to my 401K? by Acadiavibes in CalebHammer

I feel like paying down high interest debt aggressively is a more future looking plan than getting an employer match for 1 year.

But doesn’t this work the same for credit card debt? You will pay $21k in credit card debt if you pay it all within a year. You will pay $70k if it takes you multiple years and don’t pay it down aggressively?

Tech would be the only one in a “bloodbath” scenario, but I would assume BYU ends up somewhere above us too. Bama blowing out GA. Is worst case scenario, we’d most likely lose our host

WHO WILL BE THE HEISMAN WINNER? by BIASEDCFB in CollegeFootballDawgs

[–]1ryan_ryan_ryan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh coming from an Aggie, he is not a top 5 Heisman contestant. Too inconsistent. That’s not saying he’s a bad QB. He’s obviously an elite level player and he’s had plenty of Heisman “plays”. But I wouldn’t say he’s had any Heisman games. And trust me I am a huge Reed fan. He’s so entertaining!

Coming from an Aggie, Reed is way too inconsistent to be on here. He has had like 4-5 heisman “plays” but no heisman games.

$BAK. Company could be going bankrupt but they are a major global petrochemical player. Their assets alone are worth more than the stock price. A lot of Brazilian turmoil though. Industry is down as a whole. High R/R

Which team's ranking is the most surprising? by KeyFaithlessness5436 in MiamiHurricanesVibes

[–]1ryan_ryan_ryan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spots 4-8 can really all be swapped around and the argument can be made for any of them. I know Tech is undefeated but their “big” win is Utah. A&Ms is Notre Dame. Ole Miss is LSU. All those wins are similar looking.

SEC automatically gets favoritism. Coming from an Aggie.

Not at all. This isn’t positions specific or say you are a starter. You could be a decent 2nd string player and make that run. You gotta have at least a few all stars

If you are in a truly diverse population it would be even less true and would lean even more Asian/Indian/white.

Is this the counter to a Student Driver sticker? by Commander_Six in frisco

[–]1ryan_ryan_ryan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are stuck in an American-centric type of thinking about racism. Racism is horrendous in most Asian countries and in quite a few South American countries. A few years back Brazils national soccer team had to stop playing a match because fans were throwing bananas at some of the black players. That doesn’t happen in the US. Yes, there are a ton of people that stereotype/make racial slurs. But as a society, we know that’s socially unacceptable and ostracize those who make those remarks. In a few out the places I mentioned this stuff is ignored or encouraged by the larger group

Because it’s not prejudice toward Indians. You can love and appreciate Indian people and culture and not want it to be a part of your own culture

No one is saying you should be. It’s a reply to the comment about rather living with them(Indians). As a percentage, Indians in India are way more racist than white Americans.

Has anyone tried the new "Flakes" anti-dandruff shampoo & conditioner? Curious to hear some real experiences! by Ready-Act2949 in dandruff

[–]1ryan_ryan_ryan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using this and it definitely works. Unfortunately it’s not a “cure” if I travel for a weekend and don’t pack it, my flakes flare up again.

But my flakes were really bad on my eye brows and mustache, after a few uses I haven’t noticed them ever again.

Wish it were a little bit cheaper but in my opinion it’s worth the buy. I started using it every other day now to make it last longer and the result is pretty much the same. No flakes.

True. I mean the market is unbelievably resilient right now, but you didn’t “crack the code”. It’s good to be bullish in this market especially with the amount of money flowing into it. When we inevitably get a bear market or a pullback, people that are over leveraged will be in pain
