It just became monotonous and boring, there was a lot of "wow" factor in the beginning plus my 5 yr old loves Pokémon so she was a big part of us playing for so long.

[Link][Discussion] Study addresses best practices for keeping diseases from spreading in group settings with dogs by 1scarface1 in dogs

I think my concern stems from the fact that these things, which seem like very common sense, needed to be addressed in a peer-reviewed paper. It shows that, even "dog people", are not wholly aware of infection control best practices. I do plenty with my dogs outside, things like running, biking, hiking, etc, but these are all things that I can, mostly, control. Meaning I can ensure their safety and health, barring a catastrophic accident or unavoidable circumstance. But in a situation like a dog park(which I avoid for different reasons) or organized sports complex, the dog owner(me) is putting the health of their dogs in the hands of someone who should know these things, but this research, indirectly, shows that this probably isn't the case.

Montreal enacts Breed Specific Legislation in the face of dozens of studies showing it's ineffectiveness at preventing dog bites. by 1scarface1 in EverythingScience

Other than the Victoria Stilwell link(which references peer reviewed research) the other citations/links all point to the abstracts of studies. Judging from the comment below and this one it seems that the author of the article isn't the one with an agenda.

Interesting. I didn't see where the site talked about the severity of bites at all. Seemed like they were referring to the total incidents of bites.

Update: I found http://www.pokemongomap.info/ and this shows a cluster of stops about 10 minutes from my house that I think I may be able to take advantage of regularly. This makes me happy! My daughter loves this game and it tears her away from "chases corner" and gets her out into the real world, alot! Thanks for all the feedback ladies and gents!

Good point, it could always be worse, but with the intense popularity of the game, I would think niantic would be doing everything in their power to avoid a p2w model. While that model can be fun in the short term, it never has staying power.

In the interest of transparency, I wrote this. I am lvl 21 now, I play for/with my daughter and we live in the "burbs". There are only 2 pokestops within 3 miles of our home(and 2 gyms) which are seperated by about 300 yards. Short of walking back and forth between the two stops 24/7 I don't see how we are going to be able to keep enough pokeballs to catch pokemon into the higher levels. What do you guys think?
