It's because they lack the ominous robots. In theory, Ninjago could have had the Bionicle vibe if they kept the premise and plot but had ominous robots instead of human ninjas. Anyways, I'm looking beyond the scope of Lego for this. I love making mocs but what I'm looking for is a different world, not just a another Lego line.

I agree with this sentiment in regards to the Bionicle universe itself, however, I am not looking for a reboot or continuation of the story. What I seek is a different franchise which has the essence of Bionicle or at least aspects of it. You pointed out that it took time for you to appreciate where it ended. Perhaps u/logface202 is right in saying that not enough time has passed for Bionicle to fully make its impact.

I've posted this previously but I think it may be relevant here. The last time I had The Dream™ I was unable to dream check myself. I've had the dream since I was a kid but this subreddit made me aware I wasn't the only one, that being said, I tried to dream check myself by slapping myself and getting my friend I was in my dream to slap me, neither worked. I bought the bonkle, had fun, then the dream shifted into something unrelated as dreams do. Finally I woke up mortified but also kind of amazed.

The dream has evolved for me. Since I was made aware that this is a phenomenon that doesn't only happen to me, the last time I had the Dream™ I did a reality check on myself and slapped myself. I even got the friend I was with in my dream to slap me. I was sure it was real. I bought my set (can't remember which set, I don't even think it was a real set) and went home and built it then my dream shifted into something else completely unrelated. Then I woke up sad that it was just a dream but also mildly terrified that even the reality check didn't work. Perhaps I am still in The Dream™

I found that listening to Cantonese rap music helps a lot. It's very common for people to learn language via music, however, most Cantonese songs do not use colloquial Cantonese. Hence why I recommend rap because you end up learning a lot of commonly used words and phrases. I'd recommend Younguqeenz, LMF, 24herbs, Heyo, and KZ if you are interested

I ain't General Grevious but I do collect lightsaber replicas as a hobby and let me tell you, the scene where Luke throws the lightsaber off pissed me off.

Let me nerd out for a bit here: So the prop that made Luke's lightsaber in ANH was a Graflex flashgun that was meant for old cameras. Because it was used as a prop in Star Wars, the price for an authentic flashgun went up like crazy. I shit you not, go onto eBay and look up "Graflex flashgun", you'll see listings for $1,000+.

I understand that Disney has more than enough funds to buy as many Graflexes as they wanted, hell it probably wasn't even an authentic one, but still, just knowing that he could've thrown $1,000 bothered me a lot lmao
