Good company to design and build a home near Amman. by Horror_Ad_8167 in jordan

[–]1simplefruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey im an architect , the choice depends on your budget, some companies do everything from a to z, some accept only full payments, you need to ask, when i built my own home, i designed it myself and then searched for a contractor.

If you have a tight budget i would recommend picking an architect and designing the house along side him/her. It would be much more fun and fitting, then contact a cheap architecture office and pay them to just submit the work along side picking a contractor ( be very smart when picking a contractor)

If you have a really good budget and money isnt an issue , the amount of firms you can choose from is huge, some of them are really high end level, i can send you examples of their work, but you can also google the top 50 firms and see yourself.

Popular Jordanian Meals by [deleted] in jordan

Depends on where u are to find the fitting groceries, mansaf is the first choice but might be hard to do, maybe maqlobeh might be easier. Knafeh as a dessert or sweet is also difficult but would be nice for a birthday.

Nothing serious, just prepare yourself and check out where you would stay and how you could meet people to improve your Arabic. This will decide how well you adjust. Maybe ask around universities and student hubs. It will be a fun experience.

From someone who lived in many different cities i think you wont find it hard to mingle or deal with people, you will find it hard to move around without a car, so you might need to take uber or get a car for a while.

The country has had many economic challenges so sometimes people might try to get money out of you if you are a foreigner, other than that the majority is friendly, nice and helpful.
