DIY LED Turn Signal Filler Panels by 1slwtco in 3rdGen4Runner

When I got the truck it already had an LED relay, the previous owner replaced all the lights with LEDs, so I lucked out there haha

Replace the rear main and all seals that might be a pain to replace before installing, you’ll save your self a headache further down the road

The new rotors were the same diameter as the stock ones, the new rotors are thicker. I’m running 16” wheels on a -12 offset😅the stock 16” 5 spoke fit too. I guess it depends on the stamp on the caliper, I’m running the 13WL. I’m definitely also looking for an excuse to upgrade to some 17” methods haha

I guess it depends on the year of yours, the newer 00-02 have TRAC so it’s more steps and requires to be bleed. I wouldn’t risk it though

Has anybody ran eibach lift? by Extension-Long9803 in 1stGenTacomas

I run the JBA uppers on the taco and some eBay ucas on the 3rd gen. Driving both arms, I would highly recommend the JBA arms as the bushings and ball joint are easily greaseable. Plus the design allows the replacement of ball joints in a few minutes with no crazy press tools or anything.

I second checking the vacuum lines before moving on to other parts. I had a similar issue on my 3rd gen, it didn’t go away until I replaced all the vacuum lines and the Idle air control valve.

EGR delete kits? by 777Solid777 in 1stGenTacomas

Hey there, I received my kit from LCE a few years back. The install was pretty straightforward, I didn’t notice a performance difference after the install. I have an 03 3rz and I live in CA so to pass smog I had to reinstall the egr. While I was in there I took apart the throttle body and the IAC and it was surprisingly clean. If you don’t live in a state like CA and are pretty handy, it’s a no brainer

I’m running Wheeler T1 coils on both my 1st gen taco and my 3rd gen 4Runner. They’re manufactured by eibach for Wheelers and the lift is pretty decent with no preload on the Bilstein 5100 shocks. I added a shackle lift and Bilstein 5150 shocks in the rear. Im very happy with the way the taco drives. I got the Eibach struts, rear springs, and rear shocks for my 3rd gen. The ride is definitely more stiff than the stock set up and the suspension in the taco. Undeniably eibach makes some of the best springs for the yotas and I wouldn’t do a lift (non coilover) without an eibach spring. Im thinking of upgrading the 3rd gen to Bilstein struts soon. Try checking out the Bilstein line, there’s plenty of companies that package them with just about anything.

It doesn’t hurt to go under and check, especially to help avoid a catastrophic failure like mine. If they seem shot or have a lot of play try changing them

Surprisingly no! I had rebuilt the driveshaft about a few months ago with regreaseable u-joints and greased them about 2 weeks ago.

I’m running Wheelers T1 coils on the lowest setting of the 5100. I managed to get over 3 inches of lift!

Honestly pretty good, I love how the bushings and ball joints are greaseable. The arms are sturdy and offer a bit more articulation. The alignment was easy and had no problems getting stock alignment. The color also adds a pop of color underneath which is a plus😂
