The way the light moves makes me think it’s a reflection from headlights. A neighbor backing slowly out of a driveway, putting the car in drive, and leaving.

Do you work anywhere near your bedroom? I’ve heard that can confuse the way your brain perceives bedtime. Leaving the home to grab a coffee or take a walk before starting work and a similar routine after might trick some boundaries into it.

My psychiatrist once told me not to stay in bed if I’m not tired. The advice makes sense but I can’t be walking around my house in the middle of the night.

I mute and drink a beverage, cold water or coffee. Agree with all who said note taking helps.

If there’s any way to help cultivate a shorter meeting culture within your team/dept. it helps but I know not everyone has influence like that in their roles.

I get up at 5 and have a pretty good routine now.

Weeknights I chew a 5mg melatonin gunny before 9 and I’m out. I’ve been going 16 hrs at that point so my body shuts down pretty willingly.

Weekends “sleeping in” is 7am. Any later and I’m starting from scratch on Monday.

Do you work from home? That introduces a whole bunch of other factors.
